This is like shopping at Walmart while looking down your nose at the people also shopping at Walmart. You're here, too!

Absolutely. And hopefully we’re all multitasking. But that Mensa member shared their entire arc of post perusal. And another scientist keeps insisting folks are Alec, utilizing weaksauce not quite sarcasm. My hope is the entire thing is satire.

It's clear you are personally invested. Calm down. Scandals blow over. This will blow over. Give it a couple weeks and we will have all moved on. In the meantime, this is interesting for us but painful for you so turn it off, order a pizza, turn off your phone, and open a bottle of wine.

Oh dear. You think that’s clever. Nope. Not invested. The nitwittery is entertaining though.

Agreed.

We get it, you agree with yourself, everyone who thinks this is funny or entertaining “has no life,” now he gone!

No, different poster. Baldwin has been thoroughly exposed and she’s a liar, but in a weird and sad way. Your gleeful bullshit and brittle triumph is also so pathetic.

Do the parents really live in Spain all year? I can’t help but question everything we’ve been told. And I note zero details about the time and years she allegedly spent in Spain. When precisely was she over there for long periods of time in her youth?

Alec talks like a 17th century English jester. "Nitwittery" "corpse picker" "grinchii".

Link to New Yorker tweet?

Who cares? She can go find her own community of culture vampires. There are thousands of them in NYC. She’ll be fine.

Umm... ok? None of the posters on this thread have turned lying about their ethnicity into a business. As an actual POC this entire thing is so offensive. Not sure why we would be pathetic.

Spring break maybe? It's kind of odd they picked Mallorca. It's like the Cancun of Europe. Pretty but trashy.

Now her stepdaughter is saying that it was her “chosen family” that came to the wedding from Spain. That’s a little different then “relatives.”

I feel like if I were her and wasn’t lying, the first thing I’d do is come out with the years months whatever I spent there. Then I would have an ACTUAL Spanish person back me up.

Lol. Can confirm, as I hear the same on his podcast. Sounds like a Woody Allen script.

Waaaaaiiit. She doubled down in the second video and is sticking by that she came to the US at 19 to go to college?! How does she not get the gig is up. Her first video was bland enough to continue her subterfuge. But this continued lie is a whopper.

“First thing I told my husband is that I was born in Boston,” she said. “I spent a lot of my childhood in Spain. My nuclear family lives in Spain and has lived there for a long time. And I came here — I was moving around a lot, but I came here when I was 19 years old to go to college.”

I thought she started at BU and transferred to NYU? Did she study abroad in Spain at BU? Or is this careful wording? “I came here...” meaning “I came to NY”?! Kind of like her careful wording of “My family lives in Spain”.

I can't believe I am defending her statement on family, but if my best friend, her family were coming to my wedding, they are considered family.

She was on a podcast in April where she specifically said she moved from Spain to NY at 19 to go to NYU.

No, it’s not family. It’s your best friend.
