Good dog names?

Anonymous
We are planning to get a (male) puppy soon. It will grow to be about 50 lbs, we believe. Anyone have any suggestions for dog names - ones you've used, ones you've heard, or ones you imagine would sound good? Thanks!

Steve. I've always wanted a dog named Steve.

Our neighbors have a big dog named Leonard. That always gets a smile.

DCUM has such a hard time naming their own kids and now we have moved on to dogs... what is next, fish?

First decide one syllable or two.

We have considered (and used one on this list previously):
Zack
Jake
Luke
Bear
Buck
Judge
Zeke
Beau

My DH insists on one syllable names. Lots of good two syllable names out there.

I've always wanted to name a dog Brennan after Justice Brennan.

I prefer two syllable, four letter names-

Milo
Kela

The main rule for our family is to not use a human name.

Haha, the only rule in our family is that we always use human names and our dog is Milo! Our last dog was Norm.

My husband's dog's name growing up was Garth. He was an Irish Setter.

My daughter (7) is suggesting Wolf, Frisco, or Pepper for you.
