My son (3 yrs) has a v. short attention span and is constantly in motion. He is in special edu. & has behavioral challenges.
I've noticed calming remedies or natural "remedies" for children to addresss ADHD at Whole foods & other natural food stories.? Does anyone have experiene with any of the remedies and/or can offer some suggestions. Thank you! |
If you really want to go the alternative route, please see a trained professional or at a minimum buy a decent book.
Most of the stuff in a place like WF isn't worth much. I would bet that anything you look at for calming is at least half camomile (which you can buy cheaper elsewhere). I believe red clover's also on the list of "calming" herbs for kids - used in the tub (like bathing in a tea of clover). |
Every alternative anything I have bought at Whole Foods has failed to work.
Do you have any professionals who might give you a formal diagnosis, or clinical picture? This would help you focus and if you want to pursue alternative options, you would at least be focused on specifics. But every alternative approach we've tried failed. I don't think there are short cuts. Just methodical, time-and-money-consuming therapies. |
