Seeking accommodating IS for special needs child

Anonymous
Our child falls into that gray area between needing some support within a typical classroom, and being very bright and capable. Can anyone recommend a warm, accpeting, nurturing school community (whose administration, teachers, and families/kids) might be understanding to a child with some physical needs? Willing to consider DC, MD, or VA for right environment. Our child does not qualify for 'special education' or county programs, as he is ready for a regular school curriculum--again, with a few supports. Thanks.

Sounds like my DC who attends the McLean School in Potomac. I have nothing but ecstatic things to say about the school.
