Can you start a s/o in off topic forum? Why are you triggered? |
Actually, it’s likely you started the linked thread in a (failed) attempt to troll. Turned into a really good thread. As for this one, consider not clicking on it if you find it so bothersome. As someone returning to work after SAH, I’ve found it very helpful and interesting. Move along if you don’t. |
OP has already quit her job to nurture her young adults. Trolling is about making people upset, surveying information is not trolling. |
Why do you keep commenting if you’re not interested? Go away and let the adults talk. |
because you are the top post in jobs for weeks now. OP has made her choice and left.
And again, what’s with insulting people? ‘Adults talk’? Try to be civil. |
Does it occur to you *why* this has been the top post in this forum for weeks? Because it speaks to many of us, transitioning into and out of the workforce. But if it doesn’t interest you, there’s no need to click on it. It’s really very simple. |
I appreciate this thoughtful response. However, very little of the advice was about career but focused on how much she would miss her teens at home. Within a week or so she had quit her job — which I honestly feel like is a huge blow against ALL women returning week, as she’s fulfilled the worst stereotypes of SAHM who are capricious about work. So as far as career advice, this thread has been a travesty. As a rah-rah thread about holding your young adults close before they soar from the nest, it’s a rousing success. |
| It reminds me of chick lit. In chick lit the STAHM starts a bakery with her magic cupcakes, the FB writer writes a best seller, the dutiful housekeeper starts a bed&breakfast, the cashier an investment club and 3 years later they clink glasses at a reunion and congratulate each other on their wonderful successes. |
