That means that their parents sent them on this dangerous journey on their own. Their parents don’t seem to have concern for their safety. I would argue that they are getting better treatment, care, and supervision here, in detention, than they received with their parents.

Parents send their kids alone out of complete desperation and because the "coyotes" who help these kids navigate the journey cost upwards of $5,000 - a lifetime savings for some of these families. DP. "Extreme poverty" does not qualify one for asylum. They need to come in through legal channels and apply for entry according to our laws. It's ehat my own family did, and they were desperare also.

The reason we have so many illegal immigrants is that they know their children will get free educations, free medical care, free lunches - all paid for by Americsn taxpayers - and of they are in liberal states, in-state tuition and other benefits. We need to reduce the incentives. First, reduce the age cap on whom we are supporting in high school - some states require that 25-year-old "children" still get taxpayer-funded education! Second, there needs to be a "shared payment" fee with Americsn taxpayers who are supporting their children, and if they can't afford it, the parents have to make it up through required volunteer service at the school. No more "the land of freebies for illegal immigrants."

I posted the following as a separate thread since I believe this deserves attention. But, (as I expected) the thread was locked. So, posting it here. Hope people's eye can open up to the sinister techniques of this administration...

Sessions' new "Zero Tolerance policy", asylum port deception, Kid snatching and blaming Democrats

Most people (including me) have been confused about what the relationships of each of these and wonder who the root cause of the current emotional abuse of immigrant children. I am finally getting to understand the whole picture. So thought of starting this thread to explain the dots.

1. Sessions announced "Zero tolerance policy" on May 8 announcing that every person who enters USA illegally will be criminally prosecuted. This is the change from previous administration. Our Asylum law (https://www.uscis.gov/humanitarian/refugees-asylum) allows administrations the options for asylum seekers not to be charged criminally even if they are inside US without proper approval. So, Sessions decided this admin will not honor the leniency based on the asylum seeker's individual situation.

2. There are several reports that many entry point for asylum seekers were closed and delayed. Asylum seekers were told there is no space anymore to grant entry. Many asylum seekers (who were already have traveled many miles against all odds) crossed border in desperation and surrendered to border patrols or apprehended by border patrol. Even though they expressed their intention to seek asylum, they were criminally charged and put into criminal proceeding.

3. Children were forcibly separated from parents (to use this as deterrent for future asylum seekers as reported from previous interviews of John Kelly and Sessions).

5. They had the arguments ready, to use Flores vs. Reno case as the basis to separate the children and to blame the Democrats even though Flores vs. Reno case started in Reagan's time and was settled after a long court battle during Clinton time to provide detained immigrant Children human environment. This law does not require children to be separated from parents, just requires Children to be treated well. But can be used (remember that this was not what was done by any administration since 1997, when the law was passed) to separate them from Criminally charged parents. So, the interpretation of this law is a change from other administration.

So basically, Sessions policy reversal and a deception at the asylum port is used to trap immigrants into this situation so that they can create an environment where asylum seekers would be more afraid to come to USA than to live in countries where they are fleeing from.

Trump also has a ready-made bargain ready. If the situation goes out-of-hand he would blame the Democrats and make them to come to table so that he could use this human-right crisis to get funding for his wall. This is beyond devious.

Parents send their kids alone out of complete desperation and because the "coyotes" who help these kids navigate the journey cost upwards of $5,000 - a lifetime savings for some of these families. They have to chose - Sophie's Choice style - which child leaves and has a glimmer of hope of a better life.

Seriously, I would not defend parents who trust their kids lives to ''coyotes'' human traffickers. Any desperation does not compensate for their actions to send their kids hell knows where with hell knows whom. "Coyote" is pretty suggestive word, you know.

What would y3ou know about being in such a desperate situation? What would you know what it's like to fear constantly for your life and your child's life? What would you know about the hopelessness of extreme poverty?

First of all, the victims of ethnic cleansing are genuinely eligible for asylum.
Yes, people were desperate to get out, and with a real asylum eligibility a lot of countries were ready to open their doors to them immediately, led by ''horrible and cold-hearted'' America.
You know why? Because genuine eligibility is different from economic migration labeled ''asylum''. "Sneaking in" is irrelative to asylum seekers but directly corresponds with illegal economic migration.

You know nothing about immigration law. You are talking about refugees. People who are given official refugee status. This is a completely separate process from Asylum. Anyone can claim and be adjudicated for asylum if they get their feet on US soil and claim it. And 'irrelative' is not a word. When DHS closes ports of entry Asylum seekers will sneak across.

Sessions' new "Zero Tolerance policy", asylum port deception, Kid snatching and blaming Democrats

Most people (including me) have been confused about what the relationships of each of these and wonder who the root cause of the current emotional abuse of immigrant children. I am finally getting to understand the whole picture. So thought of starting this thread to explain the dots.

1. Sessions announced "Zero tolerance policy" on May 8 announcing that every person who enters USA illegally will be criminally prosecuted. This is the change from previous administration. Our Asylum law (https://www.uscis.gov/humanitarian/refugees-asylum) allows administrations the options for asylum seekers not to be charged criminally even if they are inside US without proper approval. So, Sessions decided this admin will not honor the leniency based on the asylum seeker's individual situation.

2. There are several reports that many entry point for asylum seekers were closed and delayed. Asylum seekers were told there is no space anymore to grant entry. Many asylum seekers (who were already have traveled many miles against all odds) crossed border in desperation and surrendered to border patrols or apprehended by border patrol. Even though they expressed their intention to seek asylum, they were criminally charged and put into criminal proceeding.

3. Children were forcibly separated from parents (to use this as deterrent for future asylum seekers as reported from previous interviews of John Kelly and Sessions).

They had the arguments ready, to use Flores vs. Reno case as the basis to separate the children and to blame the Democrats even though Flores vs. Reno case started in Reagan's time and was settled after a long court battle during Clinton time to provide detained immigrant Children human environment. This law does not require children to be separated from parents, just requires Children to be treated well. But can be used (remember that this was not what was done by any administration since 1997, when the law was passed) to separate them from Criminally charged parents. So, the interpretation of this law is a change from other administration.

So basically, Sessions policy reversal and a deception at the asylum port is used to trap immigrants into this situation so that they can create an environment where asylum seekers would be more afraid to come to USA than to live in countries where they are fleeing from.

Trump also has a ready-made bargain ready. If the situation goes out-of-hand he would blame the Democrats and make them to come to table so that he could use this human-right crisis to get funding for his wall. This is beyond devious.
