Exactly. |
Frisco TX and Ashburn VA, have turned into Bangalore with family immigration. And their economies are thriving! Winning! And they would have been thriving even if Infosys did not hire cheap workers, but they would have been thiving with local US citizens. Just like it worked in the 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's before the plague of H1B/H4/F1/OPT/L1 affected the IT world in US economy. win win for eveyone. US gets to have more low skilled workers working. India gets to keep their college graduates to build their own economy. How many underemployed or unemployed people in DC, Baltimore, Phila that should be doing that work? USA HB is a real racket for India. Agree. |
Don't be silly. Mexico is paying for the wall and Trump promised us that. And no one can tell me otherwise, because I believe the president. |

Well according to the NYT the Red Cross has been forced to pull out of areas in Afghanistan. The land locked country that did in the USSR and where we left billions of stuff.
Within the week I read we have a drone station in land locked Niger. Why not move the drones and some of the troops in Afghanistan to the border and for interior MS 13 removal? I'm sick of it. |
WAPO calls this "hard-line immigration measures" In MSM world ending Chain Migration and mandating eVerify is HARDLINE??? what? that is absurd. Main Stream Media are completely run by democrats, they are being absurd now. This is why we are so polarized. common sense progress is labeled without any real debate. |
|
Ohhhhh....so it's not just illegal immigration?? So you do want to LIMIT LEGAL IMMIGRATION too? |
Agree. There is no justifiable reason to block E-verify. None. |
Sure. What's wrong with that? Australia and Canada have a point-based system that helps determine if an immigrant will be a net positive for American society. That is what Trump is proposing, allowing for exemptions for assylum-seekers. The plan makes complete sense to me, as it would any reasonable American not blinded by harmful liberal ideology. And let's not forget - this is the main reason Trump won. |
Yes absolutely. The bush 1990 immigration law was completely turned up side down from high skilled workers to desperate and cheap temporary workers Way overdue |
Actually, I believe the "open immigration" attitude started more than 50 years ago, around 1965. That was when LBJ was president. |
False |
I work at USCIS. The bolded is completely unrealistic. Like hilariously so. Every dollar currently goes towards funding USCIS. There is just no way to raise that much money from that population. Some other points. Gang members receive no immigration benefits. If the government finds out someone has developed even peripheral ties to someone in a gang (like if your uncle joins a gang) they will reevaluate your status. How will you end overstays? 10k ice agents isn't enough. Who is paying for the extra gov employees? What is an appropriate level of refugees? How did you arrive at that number? Moving from family based to merit based immigration is a philosophical question so I think that is a legitimate conversation to have but some of the rest of this is just stupid talking points designed to make it look like they're doing 'common sense' stuff when in reality its just gobbledy gook |
What is wrong with mandated everify? |
