A Republican publicly endorsing Clinton is putting his own needs and desires above the country? It's actually putting his own needs and desires above the party.

+1 Voting for Clinton is putting America first and making sure our country stays great. Trump is an open sewer of misinformation, ever changing positions, and meanness towards those who are not white males. Trump doesn't care about our constitution or the founding principle of our country that all people are created equal.

Another staunch Republican paper siding with HRC:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/morning-mix/wp/2016/09/28/for-first-time-ariz-republic-backs-democrat-for-president-citing-trumps-deep-character-flaws/

"In historic first, Arizona Republic backs a Democrat for president, citing Trump’s ‘deep character flaws..
Since The Arizona Republic began publication in 1890, we have never endorsed a Democrat over a Republican for president. Never. This reflects a deep philosophical appreciation for conservative ideals and Republican principles.

This year is different.

The 2016 Republican candidate is not conservative and he is not qualified.

That’s why, for the first time in our history, The Arizona Republic will support a Democrat for president."

How many Republican leaning newspapers is that now who have come out in support of HRC? The one in TX was pretty damning for Trump, too.

It doesn't seem to matter

The flurry of recent stories about the "close bond" between the Obama's and the Bush's is a strong coded signal that it's OK for Republicans to break with the party this year.

I think this is important to note. This election is not just about R vs. D. It is about change, but, some people on both sides of the aisle realize that though change can be a good thing, it isn't if it is a change that will hurt the country even more. The fact that some pretty high ranking Rs are supporting HRC should tell people that Trump is so dangerous that they'd rather NOT have control of the presidency than have him as POTUS.

He's privileged through his own making. He's not political royalty. He will still have power, win or lose. I'd he wins? That leaves many establishment politicians feeling threatened. They know he might not play their game, and he just might expose them to the American people
