Based on this article, it sounds like the death threats were happening at Herndon High School.

I feel horrible for anyone who has to send their kids there.

I feel sorry for the dad. This is not in any way the fault of the school.

It is human nature to want to find someone to blame. The person to blame is the person who shot him.

Listen to parents whose kids commit suicide. And, I am not blaming the parents, but they always want to find someone to blame.

But, parenting is also important. Would your child be out if he were getting death threats?
You’re just speculating that the call didn’t take place. You have zero reason to believe that. He says he talked with someone at the school.

I don't question that--but you don't know what he said. We need to hear from the family liaison.

Well, yeah, that’s the minimum that needs to be done. We need a thorough investigation about what happened.

We know what happened. The victim was shot by what was likely a gang member. What we don't know: how many were involved. Where and when the threats happened and what brought on the threats: was the victim refusing to join the gang? was the victim in the gang? were drugs involved? etc. Did the shooter also attend Herndon High?
Was a girl involved?

I am skeptical that the answers to those questions will ever be released.

Has the family finally been able to arrange a funeral?

I have seen no update on this except that a "suspect" was in custody.

I have seen no update on the stabbing.

The shooting falls on Fairfax Police.
The stabbing falls on Herndon Police.

Seems like there would be some kind of updates.
