The pay can then be made up by working longer hours, during weekends, etc. I want to pay them but if there is snow on the ground for two weeks, I cannot be solvent. Is inclement weather their fault? The guys work hard, have families to feed, etc and earn a fraction of what these lazy a$$ Feds earn so no I don't feel sorry. No work = no pay!

You are a nitwit. Fed salaries aren't great FYI and getting worse given inflation. Also, many Feds have advanced degrees, they're not doing landscaping or other unskilled labor. You can make up the work when the weather improves. Not to mention many, many Feds are on the job right now. Congress needs to finish appropriating money so they can get paid, and pay their bills.

Save your breath. The poster is just another dumb American. All that wealth and y’all still so dumb.

In my hood, most were doing zero work by their own admission and yes, these were highly paid scientists, engineers, etc. I did not notice much guilt in any one of them - but they griped plenty when ordered back to "work". I get it...the law mandates Feds must be paid if furloughed, but this debate is not about that. People should get paid if they work. Simple

This did not happen, so stop with your lies.

NP here. By their own admission Feds bragged about getting paid for no work during COVID. The orange boy heard all of this

How many feds did you have this discussion with? My office was used to telework and continued without much pause. I work on an annual study and kept on schedule. DH is a scientist and went back to his lab (with required weekly testing) after a few weeks. My DC neighborhood is filled feds who worked during the pandemic. Sure parents struggled with young school kids but that was all parents not just feds.

Russell Vought gets bored doing nothing at OMB and comes here to inflict trauma on the federal worker.

No - these overnight posts by trolls with poor grammar are part of the foreign intrusion into US social networks and message boards, designed to sow conflict. We know they are on here.

They're just lying. That's all.
