People only break into countries built by Christians. They follow white Christians everywhere. It's annoying. |
Sounds like you're feeling tempted by atheism. Forget it. you're not our type. Besides no one is recruited to atheism. We all make up our own minds. No one will come to your door to give you the good news or threaten you with eternal damnation. |
You may not be a nut job, but believing in the supernatural is nutty. It wasn't before there wasn't much known about science, but it is now. |
Sure. We can change our beliefs about the observable universe with new information. I also like science/astronomy. I have an MD and a PhD in neuroscience. But as many people have said, faith and God are outside of our observation unless we look within ourselves. I don’t think it’s an accident that the pp did “some reading” and concluded that it was impossible that there ever has been, is now, or could ever be, anything more important than herself. I’m sure that she needed that belief for some reason. But I very much doubt that most people who did the “reading” that she did would come to the same conclusion she did! The fact that you can’t believe in God, but you have complete faith in that poster’s conclusions is ridiculous. The only reason I can imagine you would believe her is that it confirms your own needed belief that there is nothing bigger or more important than yourself and no reason to do anything other than what you feel like doing. |
How convenient to think that faith and God are outside of our observation unless we look within ourselves! |
Thot we wuz talkin bout the nutjob agenda of making Amerika a Kristian Nashun and there you go again Atheist Friend, generalizing again. I guess Atheists are just really butthurt. Go look at the light from dead stars and try to calm yourselves. |
You’re not counting this thread, are you? |
No. But probably 75% of the threads on here have posts from atheists. The other 25% are mostly logistical. It would be nice if you could talk to someone who is of a different faith or people who are questioning their faith. But instead the whole forum is rendered more or less useless by atheist trolls. |
Whatever. You say that you want more proof, but if God came down here Himself and told you that there He existed and there is something in the Universe that mattered more than you do, you wouldn’t believe Him. So what do you expect anyone else to say? You can’t let go of your belief in your own divinity and you aren’t even willing to try. There is no reason to argue with you. |
Your modus operandi seems to be name calling. There is no proof of God. That's why faith is required. But the good news is that you'll spend your life believing that you'll go to heaven when you die. Instead, you'll go where your beloved dog goes and where you were before you were born. Nowhere. |
DP. I think nearly all atheists would say if they were shown evidence of a god they’d change their position immediately. They might not worship the god, depending on which one it was or its virtues, but they’d believe. They’d have to. I know I would. |
Hey I think we’ve made great progress here. We have at least one theist admitting they do not care if what they believe is true or not.
Not only is this is a thing atheists can completely agree with, I can’t think of a way it can be argued. Kinda game over for the debate. |
You can always talk to people of other faiths here and just ignore the atheists. And regarding people who are questioning their faith -- it seems good for them to hear all perspectives -the various types of faith and also no faith. |
Then I guess there is no reason for atheists to troll here anymore. |
