Whatever are you in about? Plenty of countries offer the same or better opportunities. Denmark, Sweden and Finland all rank higher than the US in the Global Opportunity Index created by the Milken Institute. And I would venture their flaws pale compared to the structural issues plaguing this country.

Denmark, Sweeden and Norway have almost zero diversity.

YES! It’s not what it used to be. It’s in a major decline and it’s terrible. My mother was a first gen American and was so proud of the country. She’d be horrified now.

Yeah it's not about the grass is rarely greener on the other side I agree.

The US is having an identity crisis and it's hard to know what kind of country we will be when all is said and done. But the truth is that it's not clear we are going to be the same as before and that's because many are choosing to be different. Some of us fear the worst. We are the ones who want to leave so no, it's not envying other countries as much as accepting that our country looks scary.
