I mainly look at and voted based on issues such as the economy, immigration, k-12 failures, crime, geopolitics/ national security.

I also judge things by the Show Me; Don’t Tell Me mantra. Talk is cheap. Esp from politicians.

The plan is to keep voting as appropriate, do what we can in a more controlled local space, and to take care of ourselves and those close to us. Really, it's about not getting worked up about things, because that doesn't help anyway. Plus, natural consequences are a thing, and the mandate from the public at large is for the Democratic Party not to interfere. Agree. I don’t think anyone is giving up. I think many of us just feel that it’s time for people to learn the hard way. If people are unserious enough to vote for Trump or abstain from voting altogether because they want to stick it to the libs or think Trump is just funny or whatever, then you just have to let the chips fall where they may. Trump is a dumpster fire and he’s going to take the United States down with him. I’m not happy, but it’s a point in history that has to be endured.

Trumpsters are going to be surprised what healthcare is like when preexisting conditions becomes a thing again, when tariffs supercharge inflation, when Elon’s government efficiency thing and Trump’s city detention centers send billions into Trump’s pocket and become very expensive for taxpayers. But. Nothing to do right now.
