+1. He could have predeceased his mother. He seems very grateful to be king. |
The kids can't. |
Are people insisting this is what’s happening? They also claim people on chemo can’t go anywhere and they and everyone around them must mask all the time. |
Of course not. It is just interesting information for someone who might want to keep their hair through chemo. |
I have heard the Queen never wanted Charles to be King.. Please provide actual evidence |
It doesn’t work that way. |
Nobody said they weren’t. But not on official roles in something like a funeral service, that’s the point. |
The Queen blamed Charles for almost destroying the monarchy with his affair with Camila . The Queen unfairly was blamed for hating Diana when she ultimately blamed Charles for the dissolution of the marriage. She liked Diana and her family and that’s why Charles married her in the first place. |
So you are making stuff up. I believe the Queen believed in the history of the Monarchy and the importance of keeping to tradition. Charles was the heir and so unless you prove otherwise I believe the Queen wanted Charles to be King. She also believed in was a life long job and that you died in office so to speak. Which she did. |
Charles didn’t make her final years easier. Apparently, the Queen was informally giving Charles extra duties during the latter years of her life and one of those duties was to make sure Harry had a nicer house . The Queen understands living lavishly is part of the role, but Charles foolishly thought cutbacks would be better to fit the country’s mood. This led to huge blowback when Meghan misinterpreted the cutbacks via an American lens as a slight to her or race thing. In actuality, the Queen preferred Meghan to Kate actually based on initial reports due to her public speaking gigs and thought she’d be great for the kingdom. Hence, Oprah and all the blowback along with the disaster Prince Andrew was. The Queen didn’t have any easy time in her latter years due to the dumbasses Charles and Andrew |
Great for the monarchy* not kingdom.
The Queen knew Charles was vindictive, competitive, and ill prepared. Even in his cancer statement, he slighted Kensington Palace by saying he wanted to avoid mass speculation |
It didn’t matter what the Queen believed. The first born is the heir. Yes, the Queen resented Camilla or Charles for many years. Due to misogyny, the Queen received blame for Diana’s mistreatment despite Diana not having an issue with the Queen. It’s all Charles’ mess. How do you think the Queen felt when tampon gate appeared? Drama and upheaval always happen with Charles and I’m not surprised that’s what his short reign has been marred with so far. His two sons can’t even get along and Charles can’t make them get along. He just isn’t a unifying figure and has a closer relationship with Camilla’s kids than his own. It always takes a woman to be the anchor of the family . The Queen was that for her family |
And William will be worse than Charles . He’s just like Charles as Diana noted |
Right. Gossip doesn’t need to be based on facts. Actually, it rarely is! |
Even if you were against the institution, the Queen was an incredibly likable figure. Charles and William lack that charm. Should be interesting to see how it all plays out, and if they do anything to go back to the QE2 way of doing things. |
