Ummm. No. Actually you are incorrect. The Presidents of Yale, Dartmouth and Brown just completed 4 year studies on their students that opted not to send in scores and they are statistically much, MUCH likely to be on academic probation and/or struggling. The data is there and it is across ALL RACES, WEALTH BRACKETS AND HS---scores are the best indicator over GPA, etc. A shift is starting to happen and a lot of T10 schools are Test Optional --meaning you don't have to submit scores---but they have become "Test Aware' meaning that they are going to start valuing students that show a more complete record--scores and GPA, particularly among students from wealthier and MC areas. TO can still be used for them to pull in students they want for other reasons--race, athlete, etc., but don't be surprised if you see the shift this year or coming years. |
