How so? Deciding to go after the people responsible for the games rather than settle into a quiet life near his daughter? It showed strength and bravery on the character who started out as weak and selfish.

DP. The main character thread was not lame, but the old man dying so cynical was lame. Sort of believable that he was the creator of the games, less believable that the only reason he created it was because he was bored, but the worst was that he continued to distrust people even after the main character showed him grace. The old man betting that man on the street would die unaided, when the main character saw hope in humanity, really bummed me out.

Yeah, that part was weird for me, too. It was such an odd, long scene and to have the old man die before he saw what happened didn't really make sense to me.

Best. damn. series. ever.

Interesting, innovative concept for sure.

Huge fan here.
I admit this program had me hooked.
The “I don’t have time to 🚿 because I am binge watching Squid Game”-type of hooked.

That's hilarious!

I loved Rami as Freddy Mercury. He did an excellent portrayal and totally deserved the Oscar he eventually won. But the tall blonde guy in this video is really cute. And the song is very catchy. I cannot get the hook out of my head!

I don’t get the hype.

I have a feeling there will be a sequel.
Okay am praying 🙏🏽 actually.
Lol.

I think the old man 👴🏼 did not really die in the final episode.
(Oops….Spoiler Alert 🔼⭕️⏹!)
I think he mixed a liquid or power sedative into the H2O that was in the decanter so when he asked the main character to give him some - then he would be knocked out at Midnight.

I feel the old guy is full of tricks and not to be trusted one bit.
Plus he was a pivotal character who is vital to the plot of this series.

I am banking the red headed guy, the protagonist of the show is turning around & going to the next Squid Game.
He will be pissed off + we know he is a hot-head when angry so I think his primary focus will be to not rest until the folks at the Squid Games (the leaders, etc.) are penalized severely for all the people who were killed during the savage games.
He likely even holds them responsible somehow, perhaps indirectly for the passing of his beloved Mother.
He will give his daughter a good reason for postponing his visit w/her in order to keep him in the audience’s good graces.

Hopefully some backstory will be provided regarding the Front Man.
Such as why he abandoned his family.
How all his riches have changed him.

Most important:

Did he really kill his younger brother??
Because like the old man > we never did see him as a bloody corpse.
Which is how most everyone else ended up after being gunned down.

South Korean shows usually have only one season. I wouldn’t hold your breath there will be a second season.

I don’t think the Front Man killed his brother. He aimed for the shoulder area, not a vital spot. Also, he didn’t demand the staff find the body unlike other times. Like you, I think the police officer brother is going to show up if there’s another season.

Given Netflix’s profit margin on this one, I think they’ll try for a second season. Will depend on negotiations with the show’s creator. I wish they hadn’t left it open and had more clearly wrapped it up.

I watched the first episode so I would understand my (adult) kids’ Halloween costume. No thank you.

I liked this show, but didn't love it. The crazy curly haired woman was the major weak link - awful acting. It also bothered me that the main male character was so thoughtless and rude to his mother, but then so respectful and kind to the old man. Why couldn't he have treated his mother that way, too?

And the red/pink wig at the end - OMG, so dumb. I loved his character though - he was such a great actor, as were all of the other main ones (except crazy lady). The two girls were so beautiful! And the other main guy (sorry, I don't know their names) - the one who went to the elite university - was so handsome.

I'm still not clear why the detective's brother was the show runner. That whole side story was very confusing to me. And the VIP visitors were HORRIBLE actors. Not sure why, when the rest of the actors were so good.

I just binge watched it. I’d like to know how they employ all the masked guard characters to be ok with shooting people at point blank like it’s normal? I was expecting back story on them. Were they told a story about all the players to make them ok with it? And the organ harvesting…… that was happening on the down low right? It wasn’t part of the game?

Because he’s still a deadbeat dad. He could just alert the FBI and Korean equivalent and let them do their jobs.

I assumed that the front guy couldn't handle being back in the "real world" after everything he saw during the game, so he came back to run it. Maybe the guards are recent winners as well.
