| I would love to hear from current families at Temple Rodef Shalom. Whether you plan to go back, and whether your experience this year was positive. We accepted placement there and are just waiting to hear back from one more school before making our final decision. |
| No. Completely disappointed with the teachers and staff. We're enrolling our child elsewhere. |
| Not OP but would you be able to provide any more specific information? |
| Wow..a friend of mine sends her son to the school and loves it. I am told it is a kind and nurturing place. |

NP here. My child is no longer at TRF. These posts are typical of what you find at TRS. It gets mixed reviews. We hated it, but friends of ours loved it which is why we tried it in the first place.
From our TRF experience we thought our child had problems with authority, but he has not had an issue with a teacher since we left-not a one. He loves and I'd even say worships every teacher he has had since, and he even says he wants to be a teacher one day. I felt like he was under a microscope and not in a good way. Several of my friends were told to get their kids evaluated for fine motor or speech and after spending a nice chunk of change they found out their child's development was progressing appropriately. Early identification is important, but my sense was they had more "false positives" than other schools, but that could just be related to our own social circle who have kids at various schools. One thing I find really helpful is when a director has a degree or multiple degrees in child development or education or something related to the job of directing a preschool and they can readily apply that knowledge. I also find it helpful if their love of children shines through. |
| Anyone have a good experience? |

Horrible experience, really bad experience with the teacher and the school. Staff is in chaos and many children are not returning next year. See the following thread with more information:

The overwhelming majority of the children not returning are doing so for good reason: They're going to Kindergarten, and will be very prepared by their great experience at TRS. |
| We had our dc there 2 years, he loved it. Totally ready for kindergarten. We adored both teachers he had. We had limitless interaction with director. Other families were warm caring. Great place! |
Why are you posting how a friend feels? Why not ask your friend to share her or his firsthand and experience? Given in another thread someone implied it is just a small group of loud, irrational and obnoxious parents and teachers who are concerned, my question to current families is...do you agree with that assessment? Do you estimate that only say 5% of families have concerns and run around screaming like lunatics or are the numbers higher? Have any of you expressed concern? If so, how was the matter handled? |

Teachers are very good and caring while we experienced one teacher that was interfering the kids unnecessarily to stop them doing regular kid stuff and requesting many kids to take occupational tests or hearing tests because kids were not “replying” to their asks. This is a 3 yrs old class so kids were being kids. However, she did not have any bad intentions and overall was a lovely teacher besides those initial issues.
However, the director really needs to tone down her arrogance. She does not have any customer service skills, cannot provide proper replies to your questions on curriculum, class details rather than repeating it’s a great program. She does not reply to your emails and then tells you that you ask “too many” questions. If they change the director to a more welcoming one, they might attract more financial gains. |

Awfull. They don't get inspections because they're religious exempt.
They have drop off options and don't ask for vaccinations reports |
