BSC is overrated in 2025. Unless we get a miracle coaching assignment, we are one and done. So glad we came to peek under the hood to see for ourselves.

My kid plays for a Leesburg-based team, Bethesda spanks us every single time. You’re lying through your teeth.

But your Leesburg team is just one experience of losing a couple games. I don't know what a miracle coach would be?

This is accurate.

BSC does not allow their MLS Next players to play for their club while also playing high school soccer.

MLS Next is not going SY. Surprised this is part of the conversation.

If a kid wants to do both will BSC allow a boy to play for his HS team in the fall and rejoin the MLS Next club for the remainder of the club season?

Curious on how you know this with that level of confidence.

No. MLSN 1 player cannot be associated with another soccer team during the season. Problem is that club will have to remove club card and re-add if player returns. re-adding and submission process is pain.

Yeah, me too, no official announcements and MLS Next would then be out of step with the rest of youth soccer.

I'll go with "meh" - I was expecting much more from our current coach as I have seen them provide much better coaching in the past. Our team is ok, but due to "less stringent" coaching, they have not progressed as far as they should have and we lost games we should not have. The coach started to put a bit more effort towards the end of the season, but too little/late. (I am being vague on purpose, it's not like there are many kids on the team - it's on the Girl's side)

Pretty good. We got a new coach (girls side) and took a little time to adjust but did really well in the tournament this past weekend (Bethesda cup) and completely dominated the top bracket (which we have never done in the past). The style is different and it was good soccer to watch. The one thing I will say that is a negative is way too many players on the team so playing time has been an issue for many except for a select few. Its a top team so I do understand there is a lot of competition for playing time at that level. Overall my daughter has enjoyed the fall season.

Very bad season for 2016 second team (Pulisic)

I thought Pulisic was only one of two 1st teams? Does it mater 1st or 2nd at u10? Sounds more parent driven than anything. Are the kids being challenged/allowed to try things/ coach supportive and committed/ environment healthy should be the focus in my opinion at u10

I have my 🍿 ready to see if they actually reply with why it was a “very bad” season.

BSC MLSN parent here. The previous post is false. Yes, if you want to play HS the Club will roster you on the MLSN team in the fall but you won't be allowed (by Club rule) to play in games or even practice until your HS season is over. Then, you can rejoin the MLSN team (and potentially even play in remaining fall games, depending on the team/coach, but definitely in the spring). I have seen it happen (and good for the kids who want to do that).

Who is this Baltimore Bays team that took down both Bethesda and VDA this weekend at the 2012 AG. Just a one team club of girls who all stuck together? Good job ladies.

You need to have a specific waiver approved. without it, you cannot even be rostered so you can jump back into MLSN team.

Read section VII. OUTSIDE COMPETITION. https://images.mlssoccer.com/image/upload/v1754861547/assets/mls-next-resources/MLS_NEXT_HD_Rules_and_Regulations_2025-26_final_v2_-1_tjwk8c.pdf

BSC and a player can get into lots of trouble if someone reports a wrong doing.
