Bravo/Brava s/o Labcorp pronunciation

Anonymous
Right now I and my family members are seeing a lot of physicians and having a lot of lab tests done. Every single doctor I have encountered pronounces our lab, "Labcore" as if it were short for Labcorps (like Marine Corps), which is wrong given that the name is short for Lab Corporation of American. To my mind, it's LabCorp with a final p. Do I join the incorrect herd or persist in my pronunciation. Trivial, I know, but something I've been pondering this week. And for the bravo/brava OP I was once prohibited from using "Kudos" in a report because my boss was unfamiliar with the word.

Everyone I know says "Lab Core". Do what you want.

Ha ha! This drives me nuts. It's corp -- short for corporation -- not corps like the Marine Corps.

I think people are just incredibly dumb must of the time. It is my cross to bear.

Yes the cross must be very heavy. Being too smart can be a curse.

Well, maybe if you take it out of your ass, you'll feel better.
