And sadly, this may degrade their good schools like Rice, SMU and UT-Austin.

I can’t imagine letting a girl go to college in Texas. She could be raped at a frat party and sued by the frat boy who raped her for beer money. No thanks.

"nice", rich, college students there will go out of state to get their abortions, paid for by mommy and daddy who probably support Rs due to "low taxes".

And anyone who helps a girl go out of state could be sued.

There is ZERO downside and it forces the defendants to pay for their defense.

Said lawsuits against the governor, GOP legislators and their supporters will be dismissed, and you’ll face sanctions for filing frivolous lawsuits.

Any Democrat judge who tries to sanction people suing Democrat women will get struck down on appeal.

Face the music: the Wendy Davis women have lost. The Stacey Abrams lost. The Cecile Richards lost.

Our side out-legislated you and outlawyered you. You think you’re going to punish us because we don’t get vaccines and won’t wear masks? No, Democrats are getting punished. First this law, and then standing to sue anyone doing voter registration and mobilization.

It needs to be exceedingly costly and difficult to function in life as a Democrat. This law is one big step towards that goal. We get there, and we don’t even need to stand by with AR15s at polling places and government agencies. We’ll win elections straight up because it’s just too much trouble to do anything but support us.

I’m wondering what you think happens to your economy in the meantime. JFC.

Please tell us how reasonable, common sense abortion safety laws like this one in Texas can possibly harm the economy.?

Please tell us how this law is reasonable, considering most women don't even know they are pregnant at 6 weeks from their last period?

And no, it's not common sense. Most abortion restriction laws go to 12 weeks at least.

Why?

Because abortion is murder.

But this law allows abortions from conception until 5 weeks 6 days. Why are you so proud of it? Doesn’t life begin at conception? And the person who asked for and received the abortion (aka “the murderer”) faces absolutely no consequences whatsoever. How does that make sense?

You need people with an education to be willing to live there.

Women will always get abortions. All this law will do is make it less safe for women, and lead to young women hiding their pregnancies and then dumping newborns. Why do you think that most civil societies allow safe and legal abortion?

Yep. I have lived in a country with strict forced birth laws. Lots of women died in back alley abortions, lots of kids abandoned, lots of kids abused because they were unwanted.

Exactly. This is horrible. A guy can rape a woman + benefit financially from it. Dads/stepdads just got the keys to freely rape their kids. I hate stupid southerners.

It’s worse. This is also going to kill more Black women. Which these forced birth ghouls probably consider a benefit.

Texas prolifers don’t care about people once they’re born. Mask mandates? Lax gun laws? Unsafe abortions? They don’t care. This law will mostly affect poor black and brown women who can’t afford to travel to other states. Just wait until those black and brown babies grow up and vote Democrat.

They don’t care. Otherwise there would be provisions in the law for girls and women who are carrying their rapist’s babies. Shame on you Texas.
