@RMHS_Principal? teaching a section of Theory of Knowledge this year! #FirstDayOfSchool2019 pic.twitter.com/ZV8tJ3U97h— Mr. Jelen (@RMHSmagnet) September 3, 2019 |
That's cool! |
You are right. Everything you read in a detailed reports is exactly what happened. |
If you think an egoist is cool. |
Such a substandard person and academician. Must appeal to others who are substandard. |
It’s interesting. I guess we read the same document and came to different understanding of the incident. I would suggest people finishing reading the pages. |
I agree with the first poster. I was glad to have more than the DCUM sided version (which is usually the case) |
Wonderful to hear that the diploma completion rates are staying strong. What about exam performance? What percentage of Magnet students earn 6s and 7s on the IB exams? |

I read to the end and didn't find her claims of workplace bullying compelling. I would lose faith in an employee who was often late to work and lied about needing leave for scheduled meetings then went on a cruise. "An incident occurred in October 2014 when Principal Monteleone learned that Appellant missed a professional development day, not because she had a previously scheduled meeting out of the building as she claimed, but because she was on a cruise with family. Principal Monteleone described lacking trust in Appellant after that point." http://marylandpublicschools.org/stateboard/Documents/legalopinions/012019/Hoover.Op.No.19-03.pdf |
Wow, interesting document... neither party looked that great. |
You do know that very little in that document is corroborated, right? Most of it is a summary of summaries of conversations. There isn't much stated that is fact. Not that this really matters any more? The school and the program has it's own problems, and those problems have very little to do with a staff member who is no longer there. Opinions are exactly that. Opinions. |
The problems continue to exist but the principal has now picked staff who do not challenge his policies and who are easily manipulated. The leaders of the program care more about building resumes and traveling on the IB-dime. They do not invest in the capacity of staff. They ignore staff and student concerns. The coordinator often whines openly about parents. Go back to the program that existed in 2008 and you will see the real IB program success. |
Not sure why this thread was revived, but I've been quite happy with the IB program. 2020 class had a higher % of kids earn the IB diploma than 2019 - 90% vs 95%.
Someone sure has an ax to grind with RMIB. |
NP, but Isn’t this increase due to no IB exam this year because of covid |
