Sounds like Walls. Except it’s not free. |
Every year it’s a mix. I know of some who haven’t posted (yet?) but others who are super excited and can’t wait to post. |
GDS? |
Lol—so far, Walls is sending 2 to Dartmouth and 2 to Princeton (one is QB). That sounds like Sidwell’s T10/T15 numbers to you? Well, like you said, at least Walls is free… Btw, if public school parents can celebrate their students’ success in this thread, private school parents should be allowed to do the same (in peace), without responses that reek of class/wealth envy. |
NP. Walls also has 1 at JHU, 1 at UVA, 2 Tufts, and 1 at WashU. Very impressive year for Walls so far. Congrats to all. As well as Sidwell. |
It was sarcasm. |
Aren't these student-run accounts? Obviously the school will want to brag. But "I'm not really on social media" is definitely a flex for some of these kids. I'm a public school parent, so correct me if I'm wrong!

College matriculations are not the "whole point of private school" although I realize there's no convincing those who think that. Private schools most definitely share a complete listing of their college matriculations with current families and will share that with prospective families if asked.
And, yes, these are almost all student-run accounts (a few schools have some involvement, but the overwhelming majority do not). Some kids want to post as soon as they find out, and others do not. They are never a complete listing of where kids are going, and obviously, you have no information about the students' backstories. |
Not QB |

Most do post at our private, but sometimes it takes up to a week after acceptance.
Some kids with impressive SCEA/REA acceptances haven't decided if they are done. |
I also think some kids are less inclined to post knowing these pages are now less for students themselves and instead have all these parents scrutinizing them. They don’t necessarily want to be in a shared space with adults. |
DD attends an all girls school in the area. She and her friend were discussing how some girls were afraid of sabotage if they posted their ED acceptance. I acknowledge all high schools are full of drama and the girls are really competitive with one another, but the fact they were discussing it (even if it was based in rumor) is crazy. |
What kind of sabotage? |
Wut? |
