No Fall MAP report on ParentVue yet?

Do kindergarteners take the math MAP in the fall? I don't see scores for mine.

My kid did, but you can check with your kid's teacher if it's missing.

Teachers can access the report 24 hours after the test is taken.

During my mid-November PT conference, my kid's ES teacher said that she had the scores for over a month, and wasn't sure why MCPS was so delayed in posting the scores on ParentVue this year. They finally got posted yesterday.

Yeah the delayed timing of posting these scores this year made PT conferences much less efficient .

But I think you are well within your rights to ask for a quick follow up meeting or call to discuss if you have concerns.

People I implore you to bring this up with your PTA and School Administration. I've have never had a Fall ES PT conference where the teacher didn't either provide the scores and/or report, in 6 years in MCPS schools.

Really? I’ve gotten them just a few times at PT conferences in 8 years of MCPS. Parents get the scores off of ParentVue. I got a strange hard copy printout this year, but that’s only because the scores were so delayed.

Really. I'm completely serious, I can't recall a year that the teacher didn't talked about them and/or presented them as part of the PT Conference. My kid was find so it wasn't a long part of the conversation but its always there.

Maybe that's why

I believe that this year Kindergartners did not take the MAP test in the fall, but will be taking it in the winter.

My kids Kindergarten teacher verified this - it’s a new change this year. Kindergarteners will take MAP for the first time this winter.

Only my middle schooler’s MAP was posted. They tried to post one of my 9th grader’s, but it’s wrong, and there is nothing posted for my other 9th grader.

To be fair, at this point MAP doesn’t actually matter for my 9th graders.

No....my kindergartener took it, I got the score at the parent teacher conference and now it's up on ParentVue.

That’s right. Schools could choose whether to give Fall MAP to kindergarteners or not. My school did not.

The high scores get posted first

Why would a school not want to versus want to? It’s not a state requirement?

MCPS "acknowledges" they were delayed and late in giving MAP reports, but fails to explain WHY they were late and delayed.

Updates to MAP National Norms

MCPS acknowledges there was a delay in releasing Fall MAP data this year. Beginning with the Fall 2025 results, MAP Growth uses updated national comparison data (new norms). This means your child’s RIT score is now compared to a new national sample of students. As a result: Your child’s percentile may look different than in previous years, even though their actual RIT score has not changed.
