We’re having a first birthday party for my son. I’ve got the adult food covered, but I’m stuck with “cliché” food for the kids (almost all between 18mos & 5yrs). All I can think of is chicken nuggets, some veggies, cheese & crackers, pasta. My DS eats anything we give him, so I don’t have any experience with “kid crowd pleasers”.
Any thoughts outside of the norm? |
| I think what you include in your list is the norm. Other common foods are mac and cheese and pizza. Sandwiches never go over well at that age. Chick-fila does a nice nugget platter if you don't want to do it yourself. |

Your list is good.
I went to one party for 2 year olds that had an awesome sectioned appetizer tray set out for kids that was full of kid food: cheerios, goldfish crackers, apple slices, string cheese sticks, raisin boxes, and yogurt melts. It was really a big hit with my kids. |
Your list is good. I'd maybe add fruit. Also a friend of mine did the kids apps in little Dixie cups for individual self serve to cut down on many hands in one bowl. |
| A special soup of sweet potatoes and spinach with a nice dollop of yogurt. |
| I don't even think you need to bother with chicken nuggets if you have things like PPs mentioned- fruit tray, veggie try, cheese and bread or crackers. |

Yes, this would sure to be a big hit! |
What time of day? Mini bagels with cream cheese, butter and even some deli meats/cheeses would be good. Although I heart that divided app tray idea and selections

| kids love bagels w/ cream cheese and how about bananas or apple slices? |
