Camp for a 3.5 year old for next week?

Anonymous
We're in the midst of massive home renovations and had to move in last week even though things are nowhere near ready (moved here from Philly so I am not terribly familiar with things here). I am feeling guilty that my 3-year-old DD is confined to the living room or her bedroom most of the day and that I'm painting or whatnot all day long and would like to send her to a part-time (or possibly full-time) day camp next week, but I don't even know if that's a possibility. Does anyone know of a camp in the upper NW/Chevy Chase/Bethesda area that might have space for a 3-year-old that you would recommend? All sugestions are much appreciated.

This is the one I mentioned in the previous post:

Sidwell Friends Child Development Center just expanded to serve children through 4 years of age. We have spaces for the summer (June 23 - August 15). The Pre-School Room (ages 2-4) will have a fantastic, hands-on summer program perfect for the younger child looking for some summer fun. You can sign up by the week for morning only, full day (until 3 pm), or extended day (until 6 pm). We have limited space in our infant/toddler program as well. Please contact us at summer@sidwell.edu if you would like more details

Also, try Beauvoir Camp (at The National Cathedral Elementary School). They start at 3 and my kids loved it. There may only be one or two weeks left but it is weekely and there is laways room at the end. NPS also goes into August (that's National Presbyterian School in NWDC) and my daughter did the 3 yr old prgram last year and loved the counselors and playground. I like the school camps for the really young ones because we have had great experiences with them and they seem to be very safe and nuturing with sweet counselors who are nursery tecahers or previous students.

Good luck!!

The only camps I can think of that may still have sessions for that age are Discovery Creek (Glen Echo, either "camps at the arcade" or "camps at the stables" or possibly CCBC or Headfirst? Maybe Levine School...
