Takeout lunch in downtown McLean

Anonymous
I work near downtown McLean (NOT Tysons) and sometimes want to pick up lunch for take out. I really do not like Moby Dick's and was not particularly impressed with Sweet Leaf. Are there any other fast casual type places that are good for lunch take out?

What's that little Italian deli on Elm across from the old McD's? I've never been there but I always see lots of cars going in and out.
We go to Subway too much at lunch. Tachibana does a lot of takeout business. Joe's Burgers is good too.

Chicken Out
Red Tomato Pizza

McLean is a culinary wasteland. Don't try the Thai place, it blows.

Pasa Thai (I don't think it's all that bad), Tachibana, Pulcinella has good salads

What happened to Naked Pizza (next to Sweet Leaf or whatever place)?

And McLean has a Red Tomato Pizza? Where?

Red Tomato is a few doors down from Mclean Family Restaurant.

Red Tomato is in Salona Village, same strip as McLean Fam Rest
I would agree with Balducci's, Tachibana and Chicken Out...didn't know Pulcinella did carryout. What about Greek Taverna or that Chop-n-Chicken if it's still open? Star-Nut has fabulous quiche, salads etc. plus they get their Francais desserts from Patisserie Poupon...love the owners, nice people

Sweet Leaf blows. We just got one in Vienna and I don't understand how that place stays in business.
