I can’t believe she makes a living speaking because this chick literally has nothing to say. She sounds dumb as a post every time she has that camera facing her way. She’s too busy fixing her hair and saying “um”. No one is looking to her for life advice or gives a flying f on how to do a trip solo. Lol

It's none of my business EXCEPT I just don't get how she juggles the cosmetic surgery thing with her big push for self acceptance. I have only known about Jen for a couple of years, but you get a sense that she is really going downhill. I am baffled by how her "tribe" can see anything sincere or consistent in her message

A perfect description of the many conflicting faces of Jen. Personal growth is a fine thing, but juggling opposite personas is not. None of us are always consistent, but we're not making money off
our Newest Thing.

I’ve noticed this increasing trend of her posting irrelevant material as a means to keep her face out there even when it’s basically meaningless chatter. Didn’t she used to post things with some actual value back in the day or am I imagining that happened?

I do feel like she posted more substantial thoughts in the past, but maybe I’m wrong?!

What is Jen? She’s no longer a Bible teacher, that’s pretty obvious. She’s no longer the girl
Who wrote 7. It’s a bad look to be the person fighting excess when you’re constantly shilling cheap fast casual travelware and wine subscriptions.
Is she a relationship and parenting expert? Nope. Is she a home decorator influencer on HGTV? Not anymore.
She’s basically just someone trying to sell you something with all the usual social commentary you’d expect from someone desperate for media
exposure on the socials.

That is a good question- what is Jen??

She seems to really be floundering. The frequent swearing is very juvenile. The whole dynamic is juvenile. She seems to have stopped being a mom, like that isn't cool enough. The Tyler thing is weird and the vaginal steam reference is creepy. The worst part about the whole deconstruction journey is 1) the arrogant assumption that the whole Christian church for 2000 years has been hateful and wrong, 2) An acceptable conclusion to a faith journey is to just not go to church at all, and 3)
Although most of traditional Christianity is patriarchal, judgemental and closed minded according to Jen, individuals in her own family who may be patriarchal, judgemental and closed minded are fine. There is no mercy with Jen or the "tribe" for any outsiders who disagree. She is done with the Christian influencer thing, that is plain to see.
The video with her in the short yellow dress where she explained her upcoming Me Camp was one of the strangest performances I have ever seen- almost like she was pretending to be a little girl?The faces, the twirling, playing with her hair....the woman is having some sort of breakdown, I fear.

Exactly. She's regressing. Into a teenager. A mid-life crises mirroring her ex. It's so strange to see a woman approaching 50 acting like a moony teenager.

What women of this age that you admire act like this? Real women of dignity and achievement of this age do not act like this.

Jen is having her second adolescence.

I’ve been wondering if her parents mooned over her in a way that led her to believe she’s exceptionally cute, smart and adorable. And by extension her online community must feel the same and enjoys celebrating her every experience. Her yellow baby doll dress with the twirling hair post felt like a child expecting others to be thrilled at her good fortune the way parents are for their kids. She’s actually referred to herself as “your girl” when addressing her readers at times. Even the Tyler is worthy of your girl comment. Suggesting she believes the reader is protective of her and knows her great value is not be squandered on just any ol’ rebound relationship. All very odd, but smacks of some kind of delusional projection.

I seem to remember her saying she’d been the “it girl” and “favorite daughter” of the evangelical Christian camp until she became a champion for lgbtq causes. Ostensibly due to her integrity requiring her to jump ship thus losing her crown in the conservative Christian culture. Now she’s the self appointed grand matron of the anti-patriarchal, no-church, deconstructed faith, pro-woke agenda crowd. Is any of this grandiosity within normal limits for a nearly 50 year old?

Ugh. I stopped following her ages ago but I just read the great description of the short yellow dress “little girl” video and had to watch. I could only get through a few seconds. She tells us how she was in Maine alone while Remy was at camp and how Me Camp came about: “…Like I’m kind of at camp. This is ME CAMP. And thus it was.”

Jen spaketh. And thus it was.
