Ok, so walking to my office today I saw this chick in a skirt, blouse and fishnet stockings. She was heading to her office too.
WHY? I just don't get it... Anyone clue me in how they can be appropriate? |

fishnets with a skirt is risky but I do have a pair of knee highs that i wear with pants and flats.

| Every work environment is different. In mine the young girls trash it up. Good for them, if they can get away with it, rock it if you can. |

| Never in a million years would I wear them to work but I work with mainly foreign born men. While I don't think their opinion of women could get any lower, I think the fishnets would make them mad. |

I don't get it either. I work in an office where conservative dress is the norm. We hire several recent college grads into professional assistant positions. They typically stay 2 or 3 years and then head off to grad school. The day after my assistant got into her grad school of choice she showed up to work in a see through blouse w/black bra. I would have been happy with fishnet stockings

| You obviously didn't read the article in today's Journal about Kate middleton and pantyhose! They advocated wearing a micro fishnet if you can't stomach pantyhose. |

Me thinks older women who's ship has long ago sailed, get a tad jealous of their replacements...
I don't dress like this, but some girls in my office push the envelope a bit and it never fails to get the old hens a clucking. |

| i wear fishnets a lot and i'm not young (or trashy) -- i even wore them pregnant. it can be a very stylish/sophisticated look. i usually wear skirts and dresses at or just touching the knee. with a chunky pump -- i think it looks good. |

| micro fishnets in nude are great ways to wear hose diluring the day. as long as the rest of your outfit isn't trashy, it looks nice. black ones i would keep for evening wear. |

| nude fishnets to work for a few weeks now... I wouldn't wear black personally but also wouldn't judge anyone who did. I've gotten complements from all the ladies and some of them have gotten their own pair. 36 yo paralegal. |
