After Monday

The longer it takes the greater the likelihood that it’s a closure, IMO.

Gotta wait for the snow to stop

No they're producing yet another stupid video to welcome kids back to class.

Prince George hasn’t called yet either. In addition to Fairfax, PWC (also closed today) has announced 2h delay tomorrow.

Communications team has to get the right message. how do they explain no closing tomorrow but closing today. Or why is it still closed tomorrow

Huh? Feb 17th isn't marked as a possible make-up day. It's March 20th and April 15th as possible make-up days.

Not should it be one.

Particularly since they raised the issue that they could break the law if they don't serve students with disabilities according to their IEPs... how do they walk that back? Should've stayed silent on that one.

You didn’t like the certainty of 4 pm before today?

MD sent out a notice that said districts could opt to use President's Day as a makeup day. It would make total sense for MCPS to pull back 2/16 and 2/17.

What progress was made today? Same for tomorrow.

"Snow and ice removal from this winter weather event has been slow, where Monday will be the first day above freezing in 9 days. MCPS crews have been working hard this past week and our facilities are ready to re-open! We know we will not have perfect conditions any time soon, but many streets and sidewalks are NOT passable for buses or safe for student walkers. Post-plowing snow piles are creating a safety hazard for our buses, creating poor visibility and blocking access to pass through and turn lanes. Many major roadways still have obstructions that have reduced lanes, making safe travel during peak traffic times difficult."

All those thing's will be true tomorrow too. I havent seen a county snow plow in 5 days.

Yes but parents are now really mad. They will find a way to open tomorrow with a two-hour delay.

Parents are always mad.

Do YOUR job

My job is done.

Is your job to be mad?

Frederick, Fairfax, DC, and Howard all open tomorrow. PGCPS TBD. MoCo is almost completely surrounded by jurisdictions that will be open tomorrow
