Franconia site results are on MySwimIO.

The applicant/prospective swimmer is still able to see what events/times he or she needs to be competitive and can make that case to the coach, backed up with times. I get it that it’s a lot more work on both ends.

Time is the most valuable thing in this whole mess. Kids want their times. Parents want their kid’s times. Coaches want times. Crazy parents wants everyone’s times to put in their home made Excel files to track their kid’s “friends”. PVS is creating work for everyone and making time even more valuable, by taking more of ours. The whole thing is both ironic and funny as hell.

Maybe they start with something simple. Alphabetize a bag of M&Ms that can’t be to difficult could it?

I wrote SwimCloud directly and this is what they said:

"Thank you for sharing this. To be clear, we do not not and have not collected results from the PVS website. Meet hosts can continue to submit results and we encourage them to do so without including swimmers' dates of birth.

With regard to a swimmers' Power Index. If a time is missing, swimmers can continue to enter it manually."

Thats great to know that Swimcloud will allow a swimmer's input time to be included in the Power Index. Lets be real - this is the main site swimmers use to get recruited. Without current times and PI, coaches will not pursue our kids.

Thanks for reaching out to them. And a huge thank you to whomever posted the Oct Open results to Swimcloud. Our swimmers thank you!!

Is there anything preventing kids from reaching out to the coach? Other poster mentioned that college times are available on swim cloud for kids to see how they measure up.

Does the swimmer himself/herself/themself have to enter it, or can a parent? I enter my DD's times all the time, but I have to say it is time-consuming. I am busy enough already having to drive the DDs to their mid-morning summer league practice and trying to get the DDs to bed by 6:30 p.m. We are an A meet family to boot. I may have to hire help.

I'd ask the same people you are car pooling/nanny share to do share the burden of times entry.

I think (hope!) the PPs reply was facetious.

I think both replies were on jest..

Your swimmer would need to be logged into their swimcloud account. You don't need to enter ALL of their times. Just their top times that will be meaningful in recruiting is all you really need at a minimum.

And yes you can reach out to a coach but my swimmer has had teams reach out through swimcloud that they would not have considered but now is their #1 school at the moment. SWIMCLOUD OPENS DOORS!!!
