UVA out of top 25

My kid pulled his application from UVA now that it has dropped out of the top 25. He is only apply to schools in the top 25. Virginia is out since it is now mediocre.

If UVA breaks into the top 20 then, it will be on the table for my younger kid who is only applying to to the top 20.

And most kids aren’t getting in there either. Just like most kids won’t get into UVA. All of these schools are out of reach for the vast majority of applicants.

Samuel Crowe was no 57 in 2025, Grant Giangrasso 2024, one in 2020, two in 2017, one in 2016 and so on.

I’m filing this thread away as another exhibit on DCUM parent absurdity. Why does it matter how many Nobel prizes a school gets? It’s not like your kids are going to get one.
