This ranking - https://csrankings.org/#/index?all&us puts GMU at 36 and the only DMV school to beat it is: UMD College Park. The ranking is based on Research and Publications and not a biased magazine that you can throw $$ at.

And every school has it's star departments and lack luster. To say Mason can't hold it's own is fooling yourself on what GMU can offer.

This. I will happily hire CS or ECE grads from GMU. I am only have STEM people in my group, so cannot speak to Humanities degrees.
