Should definitely be reviewed again, as the only intent at that point would be to injure.

wow. does anyone know what happened during the game or why it happened?

I can’t imagine anything happened in game. They both look to be attack and are opposite sides of the field in game. Don’t know if there is a previous history, but the teams are different districts and different class 4 v 5 and not really rivals.
Just a dirty move. Rumor has it that this is not new and player is known for these type of things.

This is absolutely horrible for the school because of one kid.

BTW- it was the Indy head coaches' son that slashed the Broad Run kid.

Monday Night, Briar beat Broad Run 17-6 and then 2 days later......
Dominion beats Briarr Woods 8-7
Broad Run beat Indy 13-12
Looks like Riverside figured some things out and dismantled Champe 15-2.

Yeah looks like Riverside got their fogo back...

DI commit FOGO for Riverside is done for the year.

If true, I think a suspension for a player is coming. Well deserved and should be multiple games IMO. Again, if true and done purposefully. [/quot

Coach DW catching some heat for his behavior?? Was only a matter of time.

Anyone know the player? Does the coach and player happen to have the same name? I would not be surprised!

Not likely the player who has the same
Name as the coach is a smallish player who is a very strong player and also a great kid. The coach not so much

Yeah, wrong. They have the same last name. Not a great kid for doing this stuff- REPEATEDLY.

You sound bitter it was really not a big deal. Tell your kid to hit the wall more

We sound bitter because we WON, but don’t like our players being assaulted? Um, okay.

Never recovered from his preseason injury.

Reason number 1,001 why parents coaching HS teams is not a great idea. It’s hard for a coach in this position to be objective.

Plenty of parents have coached programs where their sons have played, and currently play. Can't imagine it's easy, and certainly more landmines to avoid, but plenty have been very successful at it.

I thought he was back? He played the 1st half last game?

Played in several games this year on and off. That’s why I wonder if it’s a set back, poor kid, or a shut it down for the future.

The way that coach is wired I don’t see it happening. Even if his son was not on the team I would not recommend him for a position like that. With the kid there it makes it 1000x worse.

Anything ever happen? Was there a suspension?

Hopefully, he's just easing into playing more over the course of the HS season, and it's not a re-injury.
