No wonder she loves raising taxes. |
I assume you didn't notice that other than 2 sentences, the article was about Michael Brown's new furniture? Also, who do you expect should pay for office furniture in a government office? |
Which of her offices?! Remember, Prof. Cheh also has a day job at GW.
When the budget's tight, one would think that a prudent (and less politically tone-deaf) council member would stick with her or his existing office furniture or even proudly take standard-issue metal furniture from a DC government warehouse. Remember that when, for budget reasons, your kid's school lost its science teacher or your child would like to use a DC public library on the weekend but can't, you can think of Mary Cheh's furniture -- and Michael Brown's furniture, too. (PS - why does it seem that so many hapless hacks in public life are named "Michael Brown"?!) |
Did you read the article? Cheh's furniture was for her Council office. Also, the amount of money involved would hardly pay for a science teacher or keep a library open. Between the two of them they spent approximately the cost of one month's lease on Kwame Brown's two Navigators. Plus, Kwame renovated his entire office (taking over another office in the process). |
