Trump has an opportunity to respond to the findings of this impeachment hearing with an official WRITTEN submission of an answer before the trial is scheduled if I remember correctly. Let’s set up the date for impeachment. . What’s the offense for lying under oath? If Trump lies under oath? Roger Stone, Jeff Epstein, Paul Manafort, Steve Bannon will welcome him in gen pop?

Surprised, the people in my workplace actually have CNN on (instead of the house-flipping channel). Maybe Sondland should have been saying "concluded" rather than "presume"? -- presume means anticipating what someone wants/needs (like a good butler when it's not a bad MIL). Caught the stunt lady (Stefanik, who National Review adulated as the star on the first day of open hearings). But, um, if all this was ok, battling corruption and all, why not, you know, do it through Ambassador Yovanovitch? Hm?

Why would they? Their president is in a shaky position. He can't say anything that would make him look like he was not respected by the US president.

Of course. They just love saying that word "exculpatory" and their supporters eat it up. To the rest of us its quite clear:

Trump wanted a public announcement of investigations --> or he would withhold a meeting and withhold aid --> whistleblower was concerned about quid pro quo and reported it --> become public and aid was released --> no announcement was made/needed
