Wayyyy more. Remember, she had $40K in just shoes back in the early oughts. |
Is Steve painting a new apartment in the preview? Why the heck should he leave the Brooklyn brownstone? Miranda never wanted to live there in the first place and she’s the one who blew everything up. |
Carrie was trying so hard to be seen as cool by this person all episode. But Carrie realizes she doesn’t need to be validated as cool by this person. Because everyone is going through their own shit, and she’s reminded of the pain of her younger years. I don’t understand why you guys are watching if you’re just trying so hard to pick everything apart. If you changed your perspective, you might realize it’s not half bad. I read an interview where one of the writers said: We didn’t set out to make virtuous characters necessarily,” said Zuritsky. “Even beloved people have crises. Even moral, generally wonderful people make choices that aren’t necessarily admirable or virtuous. But they do them anyway because they’re going through something, or they’re working through a crisis. The reality is that “sometimes your friends make choices that you might not agree with or that might be concerning, but you sort of have to let them make their own choices. Sometimes it’s hard.” https://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2022/01/and-just-like-that-steve-miranda/amp |
I don’t remember there being such heavy handed product placement in the original series. Oura rings and witch brownies, wth? |
I think Miranda will be upset at first (when she finds Che in bed with someone else), but she’ll get talked into an open relationship. She’ll try that for awhile but will ultimately start dating other women. That would be season 2 if it happens. Seema and Steve may meet and start a flirtation— to end the show with some Justice for Steve. Carrie will engage in a friendship with the teacher that will help both of them deal with their spouse’s death—but it will just stay a friendship. |
Miranda had an entire plot line about Tivo once. And there were a few episodes with a frozen yogurt they kept raving about? And Magnolia Bakery. There were a lot. |
The Birkin bag. The Manolo Mary Janes (which I have a pair of!). |
Does Carrie realize that? Because Carrie is spending a lot of time and mental energy thinking about how the neighbor perceives her as a witch.... until the neighbor not only "realizes" that Carrie is cool but has to say the words "You're cool" to Carrie. So now neighbor girl can be dispatched from the show, having shown us once again that Carrie is the coolest and always will be. It's terrible writing. |
The writing/storyline doesn’t impress me. That said, I will finish the season. Has anyone seen Sarah Jessica Parker in the HBO show Divorce? I enjoyed her in this. |
How much can $40k of shoes from 20 years ago be worth? Mostly worn? Not a ton. |
Full frontal though? |
Same. And I thought SJP was good in Divorce, too. |
|
Not the cheap crap you wear from Payless, she had designer shoes -- Manolo, Jimmy Choos and such. But the point is if she had $40K worth of SHOES in the early oughts her wardrobe wasn't inexpensive then and she didn't just suddenly start buying Old Navy tops. She has spent a lifetime buying fashionable shoes, handbags, clothes and all of that is likely to be worth way more than $100K. |
Yes, and each item worn a mere handful of times (if that) and immaculately conserved. |
