due to allergy concerns we're ditching our old couch and looking for leather couches. so far at the big name furniture stores we've went they're pretty expensive and not much to choose from. also very few have 'real' leather couches. do they still exist? we're in NoVa, tks!
Check out Craigslist. Truly amazing the deals on furniture you can find in this transient town! Especially is you're not majorly pressed for time and can watch the posting for a couple weeks. Good luck!
Creative Classics in Old Town on King Street. Love the owners and great selection of smaller-scale furniture. They have beautiful leather sofas.
If you want a good deal on a real leather couch, try to the Crate and Barrel Outlet in Old Town. It's hit or miss, but they turn over their inventory very quickly, so keep going back if they don't have something you like.
I sometimes get the decorating bug and used to frequent the THS Garden/Decorating forum (great place for home decorating, design, etc). Anyway, I was looking for a couch and it just so happened a furniture store owner was on the site. I went to visit his store and bought a Bradington-Young piece from him. Really nice small store with good pieces..he sells Hancock & Moore, but that was out of my price range. His info (I still have my emails from him saved! ). Duane Collie @ The Keeping Room in Alexandria. Not sure if he still uses this email, but if he does it's drcollie@cox.net. I highly doubt he'll remember me, but just in case tell him Lekia sent you.

23:14 here. Just realized I'm completely unsure on the rules re: posting email addresses. If that's a no-no, sorry Jeff and please delete the email address. Thanks! |
