AAP starting in middle school

My DS will activate his AAP starting next year in 7th grade. Is there anything we can do this year to make sure he is prepared? I am a bit concerned he will be behind his new classmates, although keeping him in his base school was right for him for a number of non-academic issues.

You may want to speak with the AART at your elementary school, particularly about the math sequence. AAP Center students in middle school are often taking Algebra in 7th grade, and it might be wise to get the 6th grade curriculum/level sorted out now so he has as many options as possible for the 7th grade.
