They split with SR and shared the title and then won VISAA. Good for them. Take the W and move on to college. The fact remains that KJ, Bill and Gussie have one meaningful win in the post shot clock era. While STAB had to endure stall ball let's hope a stick check or a hair band inspection wasn't called for by their classy coach. Let's move on to '27 as '26 was the last gasp of that program.

Someone explain hair band inspection?
TROLL WHAT ARE YOU SMOKING?! Gussie does not Coach Saints lax. Gussie is not a coach at SSSAS. THE SAINTS TEAM PLAYS BETTER WITH A SHOT CLOCK! THEY WOULD Have PREFERRED A SHOT CLOCK. The 1st half they had like 4 goals in 8 min and STAB had 0 so they came out playing like there was a shot clock. The stall ball saved STAB from a 20-5 loss instead it was only 10-5 as many chances to score on goal were intentionally not taken.

Not a part of this argument but seems a nerve was touched. Must be some truth to it.

This debate was over a couple of days ago and pretty clearly won by the guy who explained why stall ball in the first half was "bush league", but effective. But just so you understand the flaw in your own logic. If SSSAS would have "PREFERRED A SHOT CLOCK" they could have shot the ball.

Everyone prefers a shot clock. Shot clocks should be required for all varsity lax games so silly that so many schools do not. SSSAS and ISL League schools use a shot clock. STAB does not use a shot clock so I am sure they have used plenty of stall ball over their season. STAB start playing with a shot clock in your league!

I noticed that the Capital 2028 team is currently ranked 19th, which is quite low. Do you happen to know how many players from that team are at SSSA?

Players at this level should know what is legal to have on their wrist and what is not.

“A player was wearing a hair tie on her wrist which is against the rules and caused a turnover “ is all that was necessary.

No hair tie in the VISAA Championship game that Saints won easily 10-5! Never have anything on your body in a games refs will call that in HS or college!

First off all, we should start a thread about this entire post.

Thank up for writing it, ALL CAPS and all. I leave DCUM for a few days and see that I missed this, pure gold and I am kicking myself.

Abive is my favorite quote of the whole thing. I keep picturing some tiny ISL mom yelling this quote in the face of the enormous ISL dad who wrote it IRL. I've been cracking up for 10 minutes thinking about who I hoped wrote each. Keep 'em coming, PLEASE!

I don’t think it’s parents. I think we got trolling high schoolers invasion and sore losers from these other teams having a field day.

Make sure you wear a mouthguard too! Do you wear orange cleats?

Definitely yes or the father of the orange cleats. One is just as bad as the other.

For those of us who have no idea what is going on here please offer some detailed recount. Hair bands? Cleats?
