Michael Jackson: Was he Innocent?

Anonymous wrote:Do you guys realize that co-sleeping is normal in many cultures around the world? People share their beds and bedrooms with kids, aunts, uncles, brothers sisters?

I grew up in Pakistan and I slept on a large mattress with my sister and my father. I was 14 and she was 10!

I have also slept in the same room and bed with my cousin who was 35 while we were all 8-14!

My friend grew up in Russia and slept in the same room with her mom dad and her brother!

Just because someone shares a bed or a bedroom with a friend does not meat automatically that something nefarious is going on!

Michael did not have a childhood as he was a showpony. He didn’t have a normal family or a normal conventional upbringing. When he obtained insane fame and wealth as a young adult he used his money to build himself a park and a fun house. He would buy toys and cool animals. He reconnected with his childhood by hanging out with his friends; older friends like Elizabeth Taylor and friends who were young like Macaulay Culkin and other children. He also hung out with his large family and cousins.

If you look at the big picture and add context it becomes much more easier to understand.

Again, why are you defending a child molester and finding ways to excuse his behavior? This is entirely different from people sleeping with relatives - he literally shared a bed only with pre-pubescent boys who later explained in excruciatingly painful detail what Michael did to them while in bed with them.

He was acquitted on all 14 charges in court because the allegations were baseless and crumbled under cross examination.

Maybe develop some brain cells and critical thinking ability before spreading horrible lies about a dead man.

That was one trial and acquitted does not mean innocent. Are you the person defending OJ Simpson also because he was acquitted?

Seriously crazy that you are dismissing all of the victims based on one acquittal. You must be getting paid by Michael's estate. Read anything by Maureen Orth, a journalist who has done investigative reporting on Michael over many years. https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2009/06/michael-jackson-is-gone-but-the-sad-facts-remain

You are the one who is lacking critical thinking ability.

This is my first time posting here, but I agree with you. The justice system is not perfect and one acquittal is hardly a guarantee that someone didn't commit the crime. As much as I like his music, he was a deeply troubled man who very likely molested children.

To be clear, you're equating children in the third world sleeping in the same bed as their father with random children sleeping in the same bed as a celebrity? Really?

He grew up in a 2 bedroom house with 10-11 people. It’s normal that he slept in the same bed as his brothers and continued that routine in hotel rooms and on the road.

You’d be surprised how much childhood routines become desired by adults. He was known for even including Bubbles, the chimp in a crib in his house. He was called wacko Jacko because he was weird. I’m not sure if he was a child molestor. He comes off as asexual to me if anything. A real molestor wouldn’t be so obvious about their love of children because they don’t wanna be discovered. Most molestors operate in the shadows

Being a weirdo does NOT make you a predator.

Allegations are NOT convictions.

Nice insults, but in the time you took to post that long quote, you could’ve also included, wait for it.. the source and link. This thread could go on forever no one scrolling back for links for your random quotes.

DP. I’m the poster who posted the WSJ gift link. I’ll post it again but maybe you could just keep up with the thread.

This is not a gift link

55 year old and I like his music but I’m not a super fan. I think he was weird, stunted and highly inappropriate with children, in a way that harmed them. But I do not think he was a sexual molestor.

He's definitely guilty and was abused himself as a child. If you have doubt, watch the documentary with his accusers.

you can't watch Leaving Neverland anymore because his estate sued and got it taken off HBO.

It’s amazing that a man’s life and legacy can be destroyed by mere allegations and heresy.

Do you believe Michael's allegations of parental abuse that destroyed his dad's reputation and legacy?

Yes, his dad even admitted it. He said he didn’t hit the girls only his sons. When asked if he’d hit his grandkids, he said he would never

He also interestingly pushed back on Michael’s claims that he was lonely and didkt
have a childhood stating Michael always had a normal and fun childhood and even went to high school in LA until age 18 and played basketball and other sports so he was always around other kids all the time. I looked it up and Michael did attend Montclair prep along with Kathy Hilton, paris’ mom

If this is true, it doesn’t bode well for Michaels justification for being around kids (not kids but boys) all the time.

It fits that he would lie to cover up his perverse fetishes and attractions. People really bought into the narrative and then looked the other way, which seemed to be by design.

If this was some random dude in your neighborhood, would those who protest his innocence allow their kids there? I highly doubt it. People will defend a lot to enjoy some music guilt-free. Plenty of less problematic artists out there for me to enjoy.

100%

Agreed. Particularly that he comes off as asexual.
