Winter wedding guest dress - impress boyfriend and FU to ex

Why are we encouraging OP to get her ex to “notice” her? That doesn’t seem healthy if you truly want to move on.

Sucks to be you. Revenge and grumbling about exes is a long enjoyed pastime. I don’t think I could be genuine friends with someone who didn’t take a bit of pleasure from showing up their cheating ex.

She said nothing about him noticing her. I'm sure most people don't need help noticing their ex-spouse. She simply wants to look good in front of him.

This thread is so lame. You guys are either b itching about OP wanting to show up an ex or b itching about the dresses recommended while recommending dresses that look like medieval burial gowns. Meanwhile OP is nowhere to be found.

maybe too short for winter:

Love that first burgundy gown.

I like the burgundy gown too but I also like it in the pink! Everyone is always in the same colors for winter weddings - navy, burgundy, black. The pink is different but it works for winter since it's cool-toned.

I liked that Dress the Population brand someone posted. What about these two?

https://www.nordstrom.com/s/anne-embellished-long-sleeve-column-gown/7998982 - If you want to be super covered up for the church ceremony, this has long sleeves and a modest neckline but is still form fitting. Kind of plain though. But, if you're truly a 5'6" size 8 hourglass you can get away with plain. The downside is long sleeves can get HOT at a reception.

https://www.nordstrom.com/s/dress-the-population-leighton-sleeveless-mermaid-evening-gown/5806784 - I think you could get away with this dress at a church ceremony without a wrap or anything bc most of the shoulder is covered.

Posted these in case you do want something a little more modest bc of the church ceremony but with that being said I've gone to plenty of weddings with church ceremonies and that rule isn't enforced.

Your ex already had you and went looking for better --and wasn't how she looked clothed that concerned him. You aren't going to psych him out with a dress.

I like this approach.

What’s a “colorway?” Why not say color?
