No way! The top programs give top money. Especially privates!

This is the truth. My daughter is getting almost free tuition at a private college. ECNL was the best investment we made.

VT doesn’t 100K to give to a player. They didn’t have funds to purchase and print senior posters this year! There isn’t a senior poster for this 2025 season!

He has done a horrible job recruiting. Kids quitting two weeks into the season, kids getting scholarships cut, kids about to enter the portal. Stay clear of VT.

Watched VT from afar this season as my DD was being recruited by them. The style of play wasn’t to good but it was concerning he made the final four last year and returned a good bunch of those players but refused to play them and instead played a bunch of freshman. His decisions on lineups were poor to me. The freshman seemed not ready for this level and he should have stuck with the more experienced / older players. The VT record this year shows he had the wrong players on the field at all times!

I didn't pay super close attention, but IIRC, I thought VT got bit by injuries earlier in the year, because I you said, they returned quite a few top players. It's interesting how certain programs/coaches get a reputation - I haven't heard wonderful things about that program either, yet, I know multiple players on the current roster and others that have committed as well that seem to be happy with their decisions. Hmm...

Injuries!! Come on people you should know this..especially if your kid has enough experience to look at being committed. If a returning player is hurt they can't play. He has to field someone.

Every player there hates it! Trust me!

Many players swear by him and support him even after the bow down lawsuit and resulting settlement. The player should’ve held out for more…I believe it was around $250k. I believe $2m was possible. Players starting to stand up for themselves with all the abuse they’re taking. More needs to be done.

Ole Miss and American U coach were fired. Is this VT coach on the way out the door?

Doubt it about VT. Ole Miss coach was only there for 3 years. Know a couple of committed and current players - will be interesting to see what shakes out with the change - much will depend on who Ole Miss brings in and who they want to bring along with them. Not envious of the situation at all. Don't know anything about American.

It’s not like VT was getting blown out or not competitive - they suffered multiple key injuries. One tough season won’t be the end of Chugger.
