Dislike terms like “not real” and “fake boobs”. Those with enhanced figures shouldn’t be made to feel less as a result of their surgery. Often this is a choice made to feel better about one’s body, not worse!

A mean,…but they *aren’t* real…and they *are* fake, so…..

I don’t get this new obsession with forcing everyone else to get on board with adopting language that denies truth just because reality is uncomfortable for you.

You can choose to get a boob job if you want to/need to, of course—but why is it necessary to your happiness for everyone else pretend those are your natural boobs???
Truth is truth.

Boobs with implants are not fake. The muscular, fat and nipple tissue remains there. Silicone is not injected into a boob or instead of a previously existed boob. It’s placed behind the muscular tissue and a well done boob looks and feels natural. Because it’s still the same boob, just “raised” on its pillow !

So stop calling boobs fake - they are enhanced but not fake. You don’t tell people with dental implants that their teeth are “fake”, or those with leg prosthetics, right?

I get you have a fixation on boobs as these women would look more attractive to men. Yes, men love great looking boobs regardless if there is an under muscle implant there or not. That is just the fact.

NP. Why are you so defensive? People will think whatever they want and you cannot change that. But you can change your attitude and not care what people think about you or your body.

The lady should then tell all elderly people their teeth are fake; people with pace makers their hearts are fake etc.

It’s fascinating how harsh are women on something that other women do to feel better about their bodies and improve confidence.

“Fake boobs” is just untrue from physical standpoint and carries negative connotation. Whereby the implants help improve quality of life to many women who had breast deformities, breast cancers, breast messed up by childbirth and breast feeding etc.

Exhibit A that fake boobs do not increase your confidence, for that you may need a therapist.

+1 Bumping this after the rabid fake boobers keep talking about how confident these make them, yet spend hours on a forum to degrade women who didn't pay for theirs.

My breasts were very large and out of proportion to my body before I had a baby and breastfed, but were even more so after that. They caused lots of discomfort/straps would cause skin damage. I had to buy larger sizes and have clothing tailored to fit. Insurance paid for a breast reduction. The doc was able to decrease the mass so that they weren't so heavy and no longer caused major issues for my back and neck and I no longer have to wear a bra that's essentially a brace. But in the process, the surgeon made them look great. There was no implant needed since I already had plenty of firm breast tissue. I'm a feminist and would never get implants, mostly because I know what a PITA it is to have large breasts. I actually asked for the doc to make them as small as possible.

You know nothing about what motivated surgery for any one person.

NP - you seem really insecure about this. I don't know a single elderly person that wears dentures that would say their teeth are "real" or "not fake" lol. They clearly are! A pace maker isnt a fake heart, but it's clear you dont know how they work.

Enjoy your perfect fake boobs, and leave other people alone.

You are just plain horrible and rude person, regardless of how you call yourself politically. And with tons of complexes about how other women should behave, look, etc.

It’s very feminine trait and to want look beautiful and desired. If some other women don’t want to, don’t take care of themselves I don’t care. But I don’t want to be criticized for enjoying how I look in a nice evening dress with cleavage.

All you wrote is just a grotesque and blown out of proportion - nobody was encouraging women to get “multiple surgeries” to appease some public opinion.

If you look so great, I am having a lot of trouble understanding why you care so much about other people's opinions.

You just sound very insistent and insecure about other women’s choices about their bodies. And enhanced boobs are not “fake” from medical standpoint. These are same boobs and tissue structure- implant goes behind the muscle

And how you relate not having fake boobs = not taking care of yourself is really disgusting. If you want to surgically enhance yourself that is totally fine! But degrading women with natural bodies is quite harmful to society as a whole.

No I’m not degrading women with natural boobs. I’m referring to you criticizing women using hair dye : according to you, if a woman is feminist and pro-equality, she should be all grey and enjoy herself that way. Sorry, I disagree and I do take care of my hair, skin, nails etc in a way I find it fit and best for my looks.

You are arguing with multiple people. I referenced hair dye a page back. I did not criticize women you use or don't use hair dye. I used it as a very clear example on standards of beauty. If a woman in her 30-40 (and even 50-60s) doesn't use hair dye, she is the one who is criticized. When something becomes so popular, it is the standard we expect. I never want to see cosmetic surgery become a standard.

There are multiple people commenting. No one needs a doctor's opinion on enhancements to view breast implants as fake.

I can’t believe you’re equating makeup and hair dyeing to going under the knife. It’s not even a fine line, the first two are totally innocuous things that have little to no effect on your physical health. The last one leaves foreign objects in your body in two delicate and sensitive body parts known for developing difficult to detect and deadly cancer. Even better those implants leak and have a 20 year life span MAXIMUM.

Put on a push up for god’s sake if you wanna fill out that gown you never really wear.

Actually, do whatever you want, just don’t expect me to pay the insurance costs or tell you it looks good. And don’t tell me I have to go along with your delusion that you’re a feminist. Because anyone who would subject herself to breast augmentation does not love the female form in all of its beauty.

Implants can be small . A woman with uneven or tubular small breasts can feel the same need as you to wear standard size dresses and have her boobs look natural with cleavage. For you to address your discomfort was reduction. For women with less own tissue that would be a small implant. I’m not advocating for huge implants or anything, but if a woman wants to get something done she shouldn’t be criticized for that.

Yes veneers are fake. Lady, maybe you should just be comfortable with choices. You wouldn’t be so defensive.

Veneers are someone’s teeth functionally the same as regular. They are man made teeth but not “fake”. They appear and function like normal teeth.

Were you a bully in HS?

I suggested that you grow confidence and security in your decisions. Weird definition of a bully. Sounds like you simply name call when you realize you do not have a strong position. Sad.

I’m very confident and having my boobs done improved my dating life by many times.
What I find weird and childish is some people like to use a demeaning definition of other people physical attributes.

You seem insecure - are you overweight with big “natural” boobs ?

DP

This sounds like a classic case of wanting to have your cake and eat it, too.

Ma’am, if you “had {your} boobs done” that means you have fake boobs. You don’t get to demand everyone call them real boobs, because they aren’t. Deal with it.

NP. I have not had my boobs “done” (more like “done in” by ~40 months of nursing) and I’m nevertheless so sick and tired of the negative labels women must be labeled by. Fake has a negative connotation, as one of the PPs mentioned, as in fake news, something not to be trusted. Why do you insist on putting down someone who has had a breast augmentation?

How about perfect boobs? She had her boobs “done,” and now they are perfect. If you’re not bothered by labels, let’s go with that one.

Yes, it has a negative connotation and I for one mean it that way. Unless you had your breasts reconstructed after a mastectomy or some disfiguring accident (and I realize that of course I can’t tell just by looking at you, and of course I would never share this opinion in real life), getting your breasts enlarged is freaking gross and anti-feminist and I DO look down on it.

It is extremely childish to go through life expecting to never be judged negatively for your choices. And I’m sure you have a line for “enhancements” that YOU would negatively judge (e.g. eyeball tattoos maybe?), it just happens to be different than MY line. And if you truly don’t have such a line (as I’m sure you will insist), then evolution has failed you.

Hope that clears things up for you.

So fixing your boobs after cancer is ok.
What about a congenital deformity? What about tubular breasts? Unevenness? Sagging after breastfeeding to weight loss? What about just because the woman wants bigger breasts because it would be fun FOR HER? Men get sports cars and motorcycles, why can’t women get boobs?

Leaving women be is the feminist move here, not judging and preaching.

And no, I don’t have enhanced or surgically improved boobs; I have tiny pancakes and I’m not bothered by another beautiful woman who has made choices different than mine.

Love more, judge less. It’s really freeing.

Thank you, PP- you said it all. I have enhanced boobs (size C with smallest implant I could possibly find). All I needed was to fix the damage after breastfeeding. It 100% improved my confidence and I’m very happy for my choice. They objectively look great, very natural and my partner always compliments them. He never criticized them before the surgery, but now they definitely get more attention from him.
I’m also a feminist, liberal democrat and donate to multiple gender equality causes every year.

So. Much. Cope. If you were actually confident you wouldn’t be trying to convince a bunch of strangers that you didn’t just want bigger tits.

Your boobs weren’t “damaged” by breastfeeding, and now you just have fake boobs. I’m sure you’ll get duck lips to go with them soon enough and talk to us about your “enhanced” lips, too.

What you are describing is an actual medical issue. Your breasts were causing spinal problems.

That is not the same as some lady claiming she’s a feminist but getting implants to pump up her boobs post breastfeeding. There is a night and day difference between the two scenarios.

For you to address your discomfort was reduction. For women with less own tissue that would be a small implant. I’m not advocating for huge implants or anything, but if a woman wants to get something done she shouldn’t be criticized for that.

I dont think anyone is criticizing that. Calling something fake is not a criticism on you. It's just calling it what it is. They are not natural. I'm sure they look great - probably better than mine! But they aren't real. You are extremely sensitive to the word "fake" but this all started because someone referenced corn stars with big fake plastic boobs - which is pretty common in that industry. You took an issue with the word fake, and derailed this entire thread over it. Clearly you are not as secure with your choice as you claim to be.

Ugh, those lips are the worst. I just can’t take them!

What are you talking about? I didnt mention politics at all?

And how you relate not having fake boobs = not taking care of yourself is really disgusting. If you want to surgically enhance yourself that is totally fine! But degrading women with natural bodies is quite harmful to society as a whole.

No I’m not degrading women with natural boobs. I’m referring to you criticizing women using hair dye : according to you, if a woman is feminist and pro-equality, she should be all grey and enjoy herself that way. Sorry, I disagree and I do take care of my hair, skin, nails etc in a way I find it fit and best for my looks.

100%

I don’t feel a need to love female beauty in all its form. I don’t look or give much thought to how other women look.
We live once, and if I felt there was something that would make me look better in my favorite dresses, and undressed, I went ahead and did this. I might remove implants in 20 years if it becomes irrelevant to me.

What you are describing is an actual medical issue. Your breasts were causing spinal problems.

That is not the same as some lady claiming she’s a feminist but getting implants to pump up her boobs post breastfeeding. There is a night and day difference between the two scenarios.

That PP also let us know that her dating life improved.

LOL. No one is talking about a "medical standpoint". Any excuse to say your boobs arent fake eh.
