There is still a Pacci's in Forest Glen but yes I feel your pain- we liked the downtown SS location and Pete's New Haven too (there was one with fried eggplant and spinach that was soooo good).

Timber in DC. Used to be Tino's in Cleveland Park but they were gone in a flash. Comet is also good. Pete's is serviceable.
