UVA gets perhaps the most love and the most hate, both in excess. |
All VA schools that are not W&M, UVA, or Virginia Tech |
BOWDOIN |
OMG, STFU. |
I think DCUM cares about name recognition without realizing that most name recognition is gained by sports success and size. Sports and being an affordable state flagship boost up UVA, and that’s great for many students. The many characteristics that make Tufts special are not well known or appreciated in the DC area. |
You UVA boosters are pathetic. It is a southern state school for white middle class and ower class kids. Nothing more- nothing less. |
Oh no! A school for white kids? They’re the worst and don’t deserve a good school. Especially if they’re middle or icky lower class. How dare they? |
Yes, Bowdoin. Some people like but many people think it is insular in thinking and plain homogenous. My son loved it although he was eager to get out for junior year abroad- that helped. |
Isn’t Rice the Harvard of the South? |
I thought Vandy was the Harvard of the south |
That’s hilarious |
Harvard is the Tufts of Cambridge — or is it Tufts is the Harvard of Medford? I forget. |
I think colleges with religious affiliations get the most hatred. People love to bash such colleges. |
Colleges in south are at geographical disadvantage. |
