Found my Legos from childhood

Anonymous
My mom got me this box of Legos in 1973, I was already too old for them, but she discovered them for her great nieces and nephews, and thought we would have fun with them.

What is truly amazing is the set (from Toys R Us) is the "Standard Set by Samsonite" and contains 576 pieces! There are so many pieces they don't even fit into the plastic shoe box I had to put them in. I guess back to the container store for more Lego storage.

I had saved my wooden trains but they were nothing as compared to sets today, I gave them to the thrift shop, they snapped together with metal snaps.

I just recently purchased a box of lincoln logs from a thrift store. The box was old and had an early 70s date (I cannot recall exactly). My DH and I had fun playing with them with our 2 kids. There was even a catapult in the box! Like your legos, it is amazing how many logs were in that box; a lot more than you would get today.
Fun times!
