| I think it’s funny how Jen peppers her posts with what she felt must have been previously forbidden curse words. It makes me laugh. Like, let’s add one more “shit” so they see what a relatable rebel I am. Lol -does anyone else cringe a bit at that? Other than the usual cringing at most things she does? |

| Totally, her curse words always sound so funny cause they are these attempts at being cool, which just looks silly at her age. Her inner teen is trying to do all the things it couldn’t in its conservative Christian upbringing. All the things. It’s supposed to be a signal at how she’s deconstructed her faith and now has liberty to do whatever she wants. Most the time it seems forced and unnatural, like the f bomb on her podcast with Glennon. Btw when Abby says fu*^ I’m buying it. |

| She seems unaware of all she was spared in her youth. How she’s walked in extraordinary favor because of all her parents and those before them laid at her feet. Perhaps this is the life cycle of blessing. The first few generations work so hard to carve out this better life, then later generations take it as a given and later actually think they earned it on their own merit. She’s wandering ever further off the ranch, we’ll see if there’s a point of recognition all that glitters is not good. This latent adolescence will hopefully yield a more circumspect person on the other side. |
