Which cohorts? The session we saw was normal amount of players.

Not sure but we are still waiting on a response.

Time to tryout at other clubs. Still a few good ones left.

That probably mean low turnout

I suspect a couple things at least on the boys side:
1) Boys first try out was the Monday after spring break (when Arlington & private schools were still on break). So perhaps low turnout
2) The third session coincides with Arlington’s tryout. Likely seeing who is committed to playing at MYS

Have they sent out offers yet? If people got offers they won’t show up for the last tryout

Calling bs here
Think McLean being run into ground hasn’t had an impact there is an interesting outlook
Gonna take years for McLean to get back to a decent program

My kid tried out last week and didn’t get an offer. Does that mean my kid sucks?

What team is he currently on? Top second or third? If you do an honest take, how did he compare to the kids there?

Does McLean not offer any spot at all to some boys who try out? I thought that was the case last year. We had registered our son for tryouts but never made it there (decided to stay put). Some time later we got a "rejection" email encouraging us to sign our son up for some kind of rec plus program. This was for a younger age group.

not a current mclean player. and only able to make one tryout session due to a school event.

Many kids get no offer.

All green teams offers were sent last week. Some white too. They’ll likely finalize today / tomorrow with the rest

New kids who get slotted on the 3rd team at the younger ages (U12 and under) do they have much chance to actually move up?

100% they do and especially after U12 a lot of opportunities open up for top team slots.
