The days of Arl 5-0 wins locally are no more. Teams will retool, switch players coaches and get better next season. Or at least thats the plan. Really depends on carpool configuration and if clubs really recruit to win vs appease.
Arl recruits to win and selects the best players in the region. Girls will get called down and we expect them to recruit to win again. Next season should be no cake walk in the dmv. On that note VDA tied twice in Bethesda cup. Sounded like some good defensive games. Curious how the out of town teams stack up. |
What excuses? Didn’t Arl win the game? The point is any of these games can go either way. Both RU and Arl will make the the playoffs. The point is it doesn’t seem to matter what Arl does - people find the way to trash the team regardless. Thought the comments started out great saying both teams did great. |
Because Arlington dads get on DCUM and trash every club, team, and some kids. Then talk about “winning a natty”. I think that really rubs people the wrong way and then everyone just wants to see them fall. Grown men talking trash about girls soccer players. |

Right there “ Grown men talking trash about girls soccer players.” I’ve seen posts trash talking about Arl girls throughout the years as well.
Let’s just say Arl did say these crazy things (which I don’t think anyone has proof) then everyone just stoops the same level and talking trash about girls soccer teams/players. RU has always been a good time. Union is looking good this year despite the circumstances. VDA is the same. Looking like all will be qualifying for playoffs in different tiers so let’s hope they all repping the region well at the big stage. We have 3 girls called to national team from RU/ Arl/ VDA and Union 2010 has 1. This is a good loook for the MA who everyone always talking shit about what a crappy conference it is but these teams show up and repping the DMV. |
| It’s not difficult to tell which team most of the comments are coming from on this forum…as recently as yesterday it’s clear posts were arl dads having a hard time saying it was a good game against FVU. I think many of us find it hard to root for a winning team when they can’t be more humble |

FVU dad say what you want about a close game, Arlington slipping, & GA next year. Don’t pound your chest about a close game with a 2-5-1 record. It’s a marathon not a sprint.
Earning points against teams 8,9, & 10 (bottom third of the conference) is a good start. FVU11s are going to have to be a complete rebuild, including the HC, to be a serious contender in this league and that takes time. How much time does your DD have with recruiting years starting soon? Your parents are doing the right thing by celebrating the little stuff. Gotta stay positive but please don’t hate on teams 1-6. Good luck the rest of the season and in your showcases. March is coming. Thank you for your attention in this matter! |
It's rapidly coming to an end for everybody. Arlington dads will soon have to find somebody else to vicariously live through. |
|
and the rest is facts. If you go GA next year you can be part of the rebuild. We can be sideline gym bros and both run out when we don’t agree with calls. Think about it!!! |
This same rumor has been going around for years. I swear pp said they had insight formal info last year and Arl made announcement. |
FVU dads last hope is Arl to GA. |
| Defensive shutout at Bethesda is a wild hot take spin doctor… props to you putting other clubs to shame in the marketing department |
Union has a national team 2011? Since when? |
It says 2010. And she just got back from duty. |
|
Arlington still the team to beat. Arrogant.
VDA marginally better but at great reputational cost and still no Champions League or NA Cup. Love to hate. FVU marginally worse with glaring admin issues. Love to ridicule. |
