The comment I was responding to was a disgruntled democrat lying about Vance and declaring Vance was dumb. They stated that Vance was “dumb as a stump.” Vance is not dumb at all. He exhibited great intelligence at the debate and is a skilled communicator. He also displayed emotional maturity and showed he has an even temper, even during a debate with a political opponent. To deny Vance’s intelligence is ridiculous. Yet many here do. What you are doing is pretending politicians (except Vance) are a class of warm hearted empaths that care nothing about their political power and personal wealth. You will have to find some naive adults or children to sell that wholly imagined fairy tale to. If someone is posting here they probably know government workers, politicians, and elected officials. You are wasting everyone’s time by trying to jam rose colored glasses over our eyes. It’s laughable. Please try to convince me the earth is flat, we never landed on the moon, the Easter bunny shot JFK, etc. All those concepts are more believable than “politician good except for Trump and Vance.” My father was a moderately successful elected official and lifelong political animal. I have seen how the sausage is made. Let me tell you: Boar’s Head factories have nothing on politicians. |
Not interested in Vance’s intelligence. What he does as a potential president scares the hell out of me. |
Hard agree. Vance was a lying machine on that debate stage. It was almost sociopathic how Vance could so effortlessly lie with a straight face and be so unbothered. It takes real audacity and arrogance to publicly lie about facts that could easily be looked up and proven false. His words are not his bond. He'll say anything to create a false image and seize power. |
Vance scares (and repels) me too! We should all be afraid of someone who has zero scruples, integrity and will do and say anything for power. |

Who do you consider an intellectual? Who do you consider well educated? |
You are scared to live in America and have a man with different political beliefs and opinions than yours being elected president? That sounds like a you problem. It’s democracy for the rest of us. |
Yet when later asked by a reporter if he would have certified the election, he replied with a solid No, then without missing a beat confirmed that trump won the 2020 election. And this man of faith, turned to the reporter and with a condescending sneer scoffed, “I feel sorry for you”.
That is a fake man, made up of lies and pretensions, and is a snake deep inside. He might have lost some weight, styled his hair better, practiced his breaking the third wall smug - but his is still a ruthless hayseed that mamaw would not be proud of. |
Writing fan fic about Vance is an odd hobby. |
+1 He is a slimebucket. |
A few days ago this thread was all about Walz would destroy Vance in the debate. Now people are acknowledging this and changing the subject. Why couldn't you have just acknowledged Biden is out of it and had a primary? Or maybe just change the subject and say Biden is out of it but he is not Trump and that's all we need? Why let the DEI hire be the candidate(Something still not being acknowledged)? |
As a Jewish man and lifelong Democrat, I can’t bring myself to vote for a party that has become so bigoted and antisemitic. Tim Walz was awful in that debate. Josh Shapiro would have done infinitely better, and he happens to be from the state that will likely decide the election. I can’t fathom why he wasn’t selected as VP, other than blatant prejudice within the party. I will either stay home or I will hold my nose and vote for Trump, but no way will I vote for her. |
This. Zero intregrity. Yet the cultists don't care. |
DP...it isn't about "different political beliefs" it is that Vance and Trump and apparently most of the GOP are for curtailing rights, suspending the constitution, running an administration based on grievance and retribution and grift. And if Vance were truly so smart, he would have stayed away from Trump since everything Trump touches, dies. |
It was articulated at the time, he came in suggesting to be a co-president and that isn't how things work. He also has baggage with some staff issues as Governor. Nothing to do with anti-semitism. - another American Jew |
